Road Trip Portland to Southern California

Hello All,
Planning our first major road trip for college visits. Have driven to Seattle multiple times with no issues charging. Somewhat nervous heading down I-5, especially in southern OR. Any issues, tips or advice is welcome.
Thanks for your help.

Lay out your trip in plugshare as well to check elevation to get an idea what your against, the NAVSYSTEM does good to predict, but shasta and the grapvine---specially the grapevine are going to steal your juice, I agree with @gillius28, the grapevine is a steep incline, and the chargers always have a line, first trip from WA to san diego (we were towing a small camper) had a small freak, then the SC line...

I have found that if one leaves the motel / home / etc. to time arrival at superchargers at odd hours, there is no line for charging. Most people want to drive after breakfast and charge somewhere halfway along the way, and so you find a bunch of Teslas out looking for charging around noon. When wifey and I travel, we leave early, like 6AM, and drive leisurely along until early lunch, maybe 10, then we eat while charging (interesting how many chargers have food nearby) and then wander down the road for a while until we reach our planned motel or destination in early afternoon. Just moving away from the rush a couple hours makes a big difference. I have not waited for charging while on a trip longer than five minutes, and that was only once.

Gonna do a video on it! We had a blast.
We went form socal-norcal and stayed in sacramento then went to bend and then dundee and all the way up to multnomah (spelling) falls

Scariest was crater lake as the only charger was at annies gift shop and it was SOOO Slow

but as long you charge up before at the nearest supercharger we had zero issues as we gained range back going down the hill

USE ABRP to plan everything. It can even estimate for you so if you arrive at x supercharger with 60%, you can put in the ABRP app how much you'll have and it will calculate how much you'll have left after crater lake, etc.

We stayed at a camground near the North Entrance to Crater Lake. They have NEMA 14-50 outlets in all the sites we stayed at.

we stayed at https://www.umpquaslastresort.com...several Tesla's in a row, they all had tents, we had the tiny camper, got a bunch of attention. Most were just up hiking, spending family time, de-COVID-ing. we were trail running around the lake. last day we had the trails to our selves (end of OCT) got cold! gorgeous out there.
