Tesla plans to open a sales/service center in Reykjavik, Iceland

We stopped by the Tesla Reykjavik Service Center on Friday, July 30th and spoke with several employees. In brief, it has been around since March 2020. One building is for service and another large building is for sales and deliveries. They could probably fit 20 cars in the second building but it had a lone Model 3 inside. They said it is full when they get deliveries four times a year. We heard that there are 500 cars in the next batch, which is quite impressive considering the size of Iceland's population.

There's a 3 stall Supercharger at this location too. We thought they were all v3 but one local reported it was 2 v3 and 1 v2.

They are eagerly awaiting the Model Y and are expecting deliveries from China first since Giga Berlin is running behind schedule.

The Model 3 makes up a majority of new deliveries but there are a lot of older Model S that were imported directly from Europe. The are only 30 to 60 Model X in the country so far and at least one Model Y that was imported from the US.

We had an impromptu Tesla meetup and gave away dozens of Tesla Hot Wheels to those who attended. It was great meeting the locals and swapping Tesla stories. We appreciated that their English was better than our Icelandic.
