We have lots of the Proterra electric busses here.

My city runs 60 of them so far.
675kWh battery
329Mi range and they have the extreme cold weather supplemental diesel heater (-20*C / -4*F today and that is warmer than it has been for over a week)

Seems like this market segment actually has some pretty mature options already.

Competitors BYD and NFI have competing in production and widely deployed models.

These are not prototypes or concepts. They are deployed and in service in fleets today.

When the business case is there the market has delivered.

That is a pretty good range. Just charge when the shift is over. With 325 miles of range they could just run the heater off the traction battery and eliminate the diesel all together
