We have a service appointment in Lynwood Washington on the 6th.
They have quoted $696.78 to repair the cascading software problems.
If it is a Software problem why should we be charged anything?

As brief as possible, For almost 2 months we have experienced increasing
problems beginning with the the un-commanded or necessity due to
Precipitation of the windshield wipers working. They randomly activate. We
know this is a bug that Tesla is working on but the advice a Service advisor
gave of not selecting Auto and choosing a 1, 2 or 3 setting instead ("and wait
until bug is fixed" ) doesn't work. In fact we select "OFF" on the wipers and they
still randomly activate. If we select 1,2 or 3 they run all the time on a dry
windshield. This lasted about 10 days then all of a sudden every time the wipers
activated the AP/FSD would shut down with the big red steering wheel warning.

Next, with these two problems still occurring, our car which is set to maximum speed
of 70 will only accelerate to 65 with AP/FSD (regardless of speed limit indication)
so 80MPH Speed Limit showing (I-15 and I-84) speed indication of 65 but actual
speed of 64 showing - so onscreen 80/65/64. Then after manually driving for
15 to 20 minutes we try to engage AP/FSD and instantly we get the big red wheel
and are charged with one of the 5 allowed safety violations! We are now down to
just 1 remaining violation and the Service Center advisor claims we are getting the
big red wheel because we have 5 violations BUT the car shows 1 remaining and we
can still activate the AP/FSD and it will work until the windshield wipers randomly
activate and then the AP/FSD is shut down. Finally- with Bluetooth on iPhone and car
showing Bluetooth connection we can't get any response to right thumbwheel, it shows
"Connection Error" no matter what we try to do. We have used the two thumbwheel
buttons reset at least 4 times.

The responses we have received from the Service Center on our phone app are insulting.
We have given them screen shots of our screen and after being told that we have 70mph
set as max they said reason we can only go 65/64 is we have selected speed of 65!
For awhile we were missing the Bluetooth symbol and their response was "Send a screen
shot of the missing Icon" - This is the truth so help me God! Of course there is the previously
mentioned "getting the big red steering wheel because we have been shut out due to 5
violations when car says 1 remains and as of today can still use the AP/FSD for awhile.

Can anyone suggest on the 6th how we handle the Service appointment and why if it's software
issue(s) we will be charged almost $700?

Thank You,

Ray
