[UK] Report that Tesla not going to produce low cost “Model 2”

A sliver of information is a bit of stretch, no? Quite a lot of detail in the article.

[UK] Report that Tesla not going to produce low cost “Model 2”

Yes, this is the reality. The only thing that has changed in recent days is that the compact $25,000 car has been shelved. As you mention, this is just a reveal of the packaging that goes with the main product - FSD software. And everyone knows how far away from the finish line that is. 8th...

    Hows your adaptive high beam?

That's not what I said though, as explained in my other post.

    Hows your adaptive high beam?

Totally agree. Don't get me wrong, I think if they don't work as intended, they should be banned, until such time as the manufacturer can get them to work properly. My post was based on the presumption that they actually work. And when they work properly, it appears that they are brighter than...

    Hows your adaptive high beam?

Matrix headlights are an incredible safety feature IMO and should be standard on all cars in the future. I've been in a few different cars with them and it's literally night and day Vs regular headlights. As they become more common, I've observed them coming at me from the other direction too...

    Price Increases

As I understand it, Tesla are going to make RHD for the India market ex Berlin, so potentially that means UK and Ireland are possible to be ex Berlin as well.

[UK] Report that Tesla not going to produce low cost “Model 2”

I'm no Peter Parker but my Spidey senses draw me to the same conclusion. His liar post is completely ambiguous, to the point of being almost irrelevant due to the lack of clarity. It wasn't a clear debunk of the article and the follow up 8/8 robotaxi release is telling. Incidentally, 8th...

    New Highland UK - stalks

Yep. I haven't driven it but by all accounts, the insulation and cabin noise improvements are good and they are things that interest me, plus the other bits and pieces as well adds up to a fairly compelling reason to upgrade.....apart from the stalks bit! Overall, a decent bit of progress on...

Have you lost faith in Tesla?

I've done my own personal review for the year ahead, and as a shareholder of Tesco and Sainsbury, hasn't worked out too bad for the past year. So I thought I would just share a little bit about what that is for the year ahead, hence my quote from this time last year. I mentioned last January, I...

    Tesla Alternative?

Yeah, any sporty SUV should have regen like this - really strong if you want it. One pedal braking, rather than just slow down regen type of thing. Hard regen in the right driving conditions can be a fun way get around.

    Tesla Alternative?

Cheers, didn't know that was out. I like that channel. He's got loads of EV experience and is as honest as the day is long. Will watch a few Macan vids tonight I think. I couldn't see myself ever dropping that much money on a car, but I still like to see what they've come up with and looks...

    Tesla Alternative?

They typically sell bonds and some, like VAG, have a finance division. Selling bonds gives them access to cash at cheaper interest (as long as they maintain a good credit rating) whereas a company like Tesla with a lower credit rating, has to pay higher interest as its perceived as risky. Debt...

    Tesla Alternative?

While I was highlighting builder B being more productive, you're right, builder A will be more profitable due to overall revenue being double, 52 patios per year versus 26. Builder B has the bigger profit margin due to better efficiency, Builder A has more profit overall due to volume. We assume...

    Tesla Alternative?

So I've done as best a job I could at VW Zwickau versus Tesla Berlin Berlin headcount is 11,500 with 375,000 cars per annum output, which is 32.6 cars per employee per year VW Zwickau headcount is 10,700 with 360,000 cars per annum output, which is 33.6 cars per employee per year Now, if I...

    Tesla Alternative?

Absolutely. We're then into other discussion around overall assets, sweating the assets if you like. Machinery and vehicles are getting double utilisation compared to the other builder, who isn't getting as good a return on his assets, but getting a better return on labour utilisation. Patio...
