Is LR worth an extra 6k?

Expect the website to be updated as I described.

Is LR worth an extra 6k?

Now confirmed with yesterday's (another) $1K price increase. Rear heated seats and heated steering wheel now standard. No subwoofer/amp though.

Is LR worth an extra 6k?

3 month owner of a 2021 SR+ NCA. At the time I ordered in June 2021, with a $10K price difference before taxes, the SR+ was clearly the value leader, the one that depreciates the least, the lightest, and the most efficient. I said it then, and say it now - that Tesla fails to adequately...

Delivery / Service Issues (panel gaps, delivery delays / issues / Service problems etc)

The only issue I had was the right mirror issue, which I considered cosmetic. The rest of my car was clean. I did have to adjust the driver's door weatherstripping to prevent a pinch point.

    Aftermarket fog lights

@Big Earl - Thanks for clearing that up. Some people mistakenly think they're fog lights (even the YouTube poster) because they're located where fog lights would typically be.

    Aftermarket fog lights

The OEM lights on the LR and Performance trims have an amber side marker, a DRL light strip, and a fog light. The SR+ has only the amber side marker, but I retrofitted the LR/Performance housing into my SR+. I'm measuring the brightness of the fog light portion, and comparing it to the an...

    Aftermarket fog lights

So many thanks @TonyLSF for showing me his aftermarket fog lights/animated turn signals. We did a side-by-side comparison between his fog lights and my OEM fog lights, as well as a side-by-side comparison of his 2020 headlights versus my 2021 headlights. Methodology: Both vehicles were parked...

How much % do you lose while unplugged?

A really, really, really long time if you turn off both sentry mode and interior climate when the interior exceeds 105 degrees.

SR+ Efficiency Example - San Francisco to Hayward

Thought I would share this example of the very high efficiency of the SR+. San Francisco to Hayward via 280 to 380 to 101 to 92 to 880, and exactly the opposite route on the return trip and 70-72 MPH on the freeway. Ambient temperature ranged from 77-91 degrees with AC on, window tint, and...

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

Not trying to wring the max out of it at all. The point is to understand how much headroom one version has other the other due to the added weight. The facts are that weight adds strain to the drivetrain, steering, and suspension (and efficiency). All "within tolerance" of course, but it's an...

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

Regarding all the LFP discussion for the past 2 days, the unknowns that I'd love answers to are: 1) How much is the weight gain? I've heard 265 pounds (which is huge), but I guess we'll find out for sure when someone takes a picture of the sticker on the door pillar on their newly delivered...

Should I keep my SR+ order, or Re lease another BMW 330?

My advice: 1) Evaluate how accessible nearby superchargers are to you and consider using it rather than running new electrical at your condo. 2) Evaluate, since you already said you don't drive much, whether you can get by with Level 1 charging at your condo.

New owner and some things that I do not like

You can turn off the mirror tilt in reverse. Tap vehicle icon (lower left), then "quick controls", then "mirrors", then "mirror auto tilt".

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

Check out the actual article rather than the OneCharge summary. The keys to these conclusions are highly dependent on repeated 0%-100% cycles and temperature. So if you repeatedly go from 0% to 100%, yes you're correct that LFP would be more robust - and that said, you really should have...

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

Watching this YouTube video of supercharging the LFP battery, and also comparing these charts, it's interesting that the 263 mile version will supercharge faster up to ~65%, and the LFP version will supercharge faster beyond that point. Total supercharging time from 5% to 90% ends up being...
