Vancouver, BC Model 3 SR+ Subwoofer installation?

Had mine installed at the same place, but went with Audison (a) mid-range speakers for the dash, (b) tweeters for the pillars (in each case powered by, I bet, the same amp as you), along with what I think is the same (c) amp/sub as you (but located in the sub-trunk area--although I really like...

Vancouver, BC Model 3 SR+ Subwoofer installation?

That's slick! I wanted to go that route as well, but opted in the end for the sub-trunk installation (to this day, I've yet to use that space for storage). They clearly have the SR+ install dialed-in.

Does anyone else need a turn-signal left on reminder?

I thought it was just me. I think I'm just doing a half left signal and it stays on, I then do what I think is a half lift "up" (to neutral) and I seem to overshoot and the right one then stays on. 35 years of driving and first time I've had this happen. Age or car? I've never really been able...

    May 2020+ Model 3 have J1962 (OBD-2 style) connector for third-parties (including 12V)

In the spirit of liking my own re-tweet, I thought I'd point out that I was reminded that this question has been asked and answered already. See: 12v Switched?. Basically, it would work the same as VC_Left does after the recent software update. In an effort to at least try to add some value to...

    12v Switched?

Aghhh. Sorry! I had seen that earlier, but for some reason thought it was from another post, couldn't find it and then forgot that it--and the answer!!--was just above my dumb question when I posted. A heads-up for folks with the new OBD-2 port...my installer makes a great point when he says...

    12v Switched?

Not sure what the norms are for cross-posting, but I just asked on this new thread whether switched 12V power could be retrofitted via an after-market OBD adapter for pre-May 2020 Model 3s: May 2020+ Model 3 have J1962 (OBD-2 style) connector for third-parties (including 12V)

    May 2020+ Model 3 have J1962 (OBD-2 style) connector for third-parties (including 12V)

That's interesting because they seem to now be "not supporting" (wink, wink) the installation of "third-party accessories". I'm taking my 2019 SR+ into my audio installer's shop tomorrow to see if they can figure out a way to make my after-market system behave the way it did before 2020.16.2.1...

How/where can you find it in the software these days?

    Still have Premium Connectivity

I don't think they've got around to charging us Canuckleheads yet...I don't see an option to subscribe and still have mine too.

Aftermarket Sub-woofer Amplifier Installation using DC-DC +12v Power Source

Not 100% sure, as my audio shop did it, but I think they had the battery out of the car and sitting on a charger. I know they also tried disconnecting the power from under the rear seat (but not sure if the battery was disconnected at that point or not). Obviously, your mileage may vary as...

Aftermarket Sub-woofer Amplifier Installation using DC-DC +12v Power Source

All of the (13) steps outlined to disconnect the high voltage power, and then the reverse to reconnect the high voltage (and 12V), were required. Sorry, I thought you'd already tried disconnecting the 12V and it didn't work. The guys in the shop fully disconnected the battery for 24 hours and...

Aftermarket Sub-woofer Amplifier Installation using DC-DC +12v Power Source

Just FYI, the above didn't work for me. My audio shop did just that (and more!), but I still had the warning (despite no issues with the 12v when they hooked it up to their charger/tester). They then followed the below procedure I dug up on another forum, and I've had no issues with the...

MASTER THREAD: V 2019.40.1.1 170kW charging, Neural Net for Auto Wipers, Auto Lane Change quicker

It must depend on local conditions and/or personal preferences because this is the first time the auto function has even remotely worked for me. Frankly, I find it hard to believe anyone could safely drive with the amount of rain I used to see on the windshield before the wipers would activate...

How can multiple charging sessions show >100% efficiency (TeslaFi)?

Ahh, didn't realize those were estimated numbers based on what the BMS is reporting. I think your #2 makes sense. I'm usually hammerfesting it home up a hill before immediately plugging it in to charge, so it sounds like that's messing up the BMS/TeslaFi. By that same token, I assume TeslaFi...
