    Jolt EV charging network

Sorry to interrupt but I used Jolt Palm Beach for 20 mins on Friday morning. I didn’t see any other EVs around and no one waiting so hope that was ok 😉

    Evie EV charging networks

I went to St Leonards today and parked at this location. I know this is the Evie thread but it’s the only place I can see the 4x Exploren chargers mentioned. It seems they are free? Plugshare lists 4x at $0 and then 10 at 28c/kWh although there are still only 4 units installed. Anyway, charged...

    Answer Signal calls on Tesla

Well it hasn’t moved since October, with many hot Sydney days over summer. The cable routes under the trim on the passenger side of the centre console.

    Novated Leases

Ask your NL company to invoice your employer for the amount you need ($1800 or so?) for an adjustment. They’ll do it almost immediately and then you can claim the tyres from the NL budget. Saves you your marginal tax rate! Of course it reduces your next month’s gross pay by the amount (eg $1800)

    Answer Signal calls on Tesla

In NSW, you can answer a mobile phone call by touching the phone, as long as the phone is mounted in a commercially available phone holder. I use this Jowua iPhone mount for this purpose so I don't break the law answering a call from one of the various apps people use to make calls now. The...

Flinders Ranges, Uluru and King's Canyon - possible?

Not a cable but get the 32A 5 pin tail for your UMC. Here’s one example. You can filter for this in Plugshare (“three phase”).

    Trade in process at delivery

Yes, Tesla pay you for the trade in about 2 weeks after pickup and the NL company pays for the Tesla in full.

    Trade in process at delivery

For me in Alexandria the process took less than 1 minute. They wanted to see the two keys, the odometer, the stamped service record book and did a quick look around the car. They then sent me to the counter to pick up my Model Y.

Fixing scratches on hard door plastic / Air-cond fan noise

A hairdryer or heat gun (and sometimes rubbing after heating) can help. Here’s a video which shows the general idea. A hairdryer will take a longer to heat the plastic than a heat gun.

    Supercharger - Mildura, Vic

Off the back of all the Mildura votes I just nominated “Sturt Highway, Balranald” for next quarter.

    Premium Connectivity Availability

My other car is a Ford. Interestingly its connectivity works on Telstra/Optus/Vodafone from one SIM card. Telstra is good, but not perfect (eg my office has amazing Vodafone coverage but almost no Telstra coverage). I wonder why Tesla don’t use a similar multi-carrier setup.
