Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

The counter argument I have for discounting China long term is the $25,000 Model 2 that is to be built in China for worldwide consumption. That car will be such an important part of China’s exports they cannot afford to give Tesla the google treatment. China’s EV companies can copy that car but...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I find Dave’s podcasts extremely useful. He has introduced me to many stocks I would not have known about (I am in Canada and some of these companies have not opened offices here yet). Not just any stocks but stocks that seem to be winners. Here are a few examples. In a podcast with Rob Mauer...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I am really getting the feeling that the post battery day event is going to mimic the post Cybertruck reveal event. At first there was a bit of disappointment because there was so much hype going into the event. When we do a post mortem and let everything sink in we will realize how awesome...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I'm not an expert in options, but I did take some finance courses. By buying and selling a series of call options at different strike prices, you can create a butterfly spread. The net result is profit if the stock price does not move. Is this what is happening with TSLA or does theory not work...

The person who bought this call is almost in the money with 1.5 years to expiry.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

The first time I heard about Tesla was after Elon Musk's 60 Minutes interview in 2014. I immediately drank the kool-aid on Tesla and started buying TSLA shortly after. TSLA is the only stock I own (I have pension money that can't be invested in individual stocks). I guess I listen to Mark Cuban...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I too have a story. I bought TSLA in 2014 and accumulated 1,809 shares. For a period of 3 years TSLA traded between say $170 to $240. It finally broke out a bit and I sold 1097 shares at $260 and was waiting for the dip. However, TSLA broke out to the $300s. Obviously, I kicked myself but bought...

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2016

I think phase 2 of the model 3 reveal would be the SUV version of the model 3.

Are you sure this is not due to Chinese New Year falling on Feb 8, 2016?

I hope they can smooth it out somewhat. That seems like a lot of pressure on Q4.

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2015

That's a massive jump for these Bears (I realize they are switching analysts but still ...). Does anyone know what the average PT of the all the analysts covering TSLA?
