I talked to a Tesla rep over the phone and they told me turn the tag over and it’s good for another 30 days.
He also said that it usually takes a week or so more and thus the double dealer tag.
I have an AWD, vin 117XXX, have had it for about a month and heard it thump a couple of times while driving and supercharging. My Prius made similar noises under the hood when waking up before driving it.
Hi Bollar,
Thanks for that, I was getting confused on what had transpired at the delivery.
It happened quite fast... :)
I have been driving it around with my next door neighbor and he aske ab out it and I did not remember.

Hi All,
New Model 3 owner here and I need some help.
This may be covered already but what is the drill for registering the car in Texas?
If its already covered can you link me to the threads?
Cheers,
Eric B.
Thanks for that link. The numbers in that post are a little different than my numbers but not by much. I think the difference is that I am taking also the rolling resistance.
Cheers,
Eric B.
Hi Guys,
Has anyone tried to calculate the power needed to move the car at steady state load IE wind resistance, rolling resistance, frontal area, velocity etc ?
I think you will come a lot closer to reality.
Cheers,
Eric B.
I remember when the Volt hit the Houston dealers. They were trying to sell it for ~$50K.
The motor electronics packaging under the hood on the Bolt is pretty ugly. It looks like they took the Volt engine package and just removed the ICE.
In an earlier post I read where the Model ≡ will have the 60Kwh battery and will get ~230 to 250 miles per charge. I concur, Tesla will be much better off putting a 60Kwh battery then the M ≡ will easily make the magical 200 miles per charge.
In my opinion the car needs to be Supercharger ready...
TexasEV,
A future SC location would be on the south end of Beaumont or Winnie, better spacing and I could drive to the kids house in Nederland/Port Neches.
Outfornow,
That may be your thoughts and they might be wrong.
I think a some of the R&D money from last year was spent on the Model 3 and Tesla is a lot farther ahead in M3 development.
I suppose we will see soon enough.
