    Grinding/banging noise from front wheel?

Update - the service center agreed to replace the bearing as customer pay (though as this was <$200 it seemed to be a subsidized replacement) and with the new bearing... no noise, finally! Not super happy I had to pay, but having it fixed (and not taking it in again for the same issue) is good...

    Grinding/banging noise from front wheel?

Anyone ever disassembled a tesla bearing? Would be interested to see what's inside... but yeah it sounds nasty! I'm super close to the palo alto location so I've not tried anywhere else, but I guess Sunnyvale isn't really very far away.

    Grinding/banging noise from front wheel?

I've been getting a grinding noise from the front left wheel of my P3D+; it's mainly noticeable at 25-30mph on smooth roads - at higher speeds the tire noise tends to mask it, though I have heard/felt it at 50mph, again on a smooth road. My worry is that the wheel bearing is bad and this could...

High pitched bubbling noise from passenger footwell

At the end of last year I upgraded from a 3LR to a 3P, and have generally been happy with the upgrade - ok, more than happy with the performance - but I'm now having to live with a really annoying noise which has just started up. It sounds like a high pitched bubbling/evaporating noise, comes...

    Performance Model 3 Snow Tires/Rims

My P3D+ is being delivered next week (upgrade from RWD) so was looking for easy options for trips to Tahoe which are pretty much ruled out on the default summer tires. From past experience when I had a Subaru STi, I'm too lazy to get tires swapped so wanted to get a wheel/tire combo set with...

    Model 3 Software Updates

Anyone notice the backup camera seems *much* better? Widescreen now (can see audio controls under it), looks less blocky and less fisheye?

Some California Superchargers not providing maximum charging rates

Anyone have specific feedback about (eg) the Barstow charger, which has several tesla powerpacks presumably feeding the chargers onsite? That would at least help with peak power draw, I would hope (and insulate slightly from utility issues), though for longevity those aren't rated at super high...

    What's your 90%?

My P85 sig is pretty much identical; 100% charge is ~238-240, 90% ~216. Only 26k miles, but 2012 and an A pack. Was 265 at the start, but there have been many algorithm changes since then, plus I rarely deep cycle the battery, which may be contributing to bad gauging. On my pack, down below 20...

    Firmware 6.0 (beta version discussion)

OT, but go to apple support site and run the battery diagnostics; my iPhone 5 showed issues (it would shut down from 30%) and the apple store swapped the battery whilst I waited. New battery is just fine. I actually suspect the old battery was fine, but the gas gauge was badly calibrated.

    CHAdeMO Adapter

Unfortunately not, no - the car had been charging for about 5 minutes at that point and there was nobody about. Didn't seem to be a tesla development though (no manufacturer plates, etc).

    CHAdeMO Adapter

Saw the adaptor in use charging a white tesla in Los Altos (evgo chademo station in Wholefoods) yesterday. Kinda clunky but I suspect the size/heft of it helps keep that nasty big metal chademo connector away from the paintwork :) Interestingly, the station was showing a percentage battery...

Forcibly going to PARK when I take weight off the driver's seat.

I've had this happen to me many times, always with the seatbelt on. Not often enough for me to be systematic about working out why, but it's pretty jarring when it happens. I guess I shift about a bit?

For those owners unhappy with drop in maximum charged range

Very similar to you; I posted on another thread at the end of last year when I'd gone down to 240 miles (Sig 1083, 11/2012 like you, type A pack). I'm now almost at 12k miles and my full charge was 237 miles :(
