Hi Pianewman, I appreciate your tip, but I believe that New York is a no-fault state which means that regardless of who was "at fault", insurance generally reimburses everyone for everything regardless of who did what.

Just as a follow-up to my original post, the issue seems to have resolved itself. Not sure what did it. Hasn't been an issue since the first week of ownership.

My windshield cracked on its own with no impact a few days ago. I know there are other threads on this, but just thought I'd add another to the forum. About a 6 inch split from the top of the windshield right behind the rearview mirror attachment point. See attached photos.
