    Superchargers in Australia

I have been. But it is about 5-6 mins slower than going to Majura, if there is less than 3 charging at Majura. I've also started doing a 12 mins stop at Exerter and going through to Cooma. But once again, only if Exerter is not busy.

    Superchargers in Australia

Interesting way to put a division "on hold", by sacking the entire 500 staff global team. But sure. Hopefully Tesla will let us know what this means for Australian Tesla drivers, who are already having to plan trips around congested SC installations. What's it going to be like in another 12...

    Superchargers in Australia

Do you doubt the authenticity of the Tesla email saying all unstarted SC installations are on hold ? Surely Tesla or Elon would set the record straight if this was the case ?

    Superchargers in Australia

Meanwhile ....... Supercharging in Australia won't be impacted today. It won't be impacted tomorrow. But all of us who have invested $60K plus in a Tesla will be impacted as an additional 50,000 Teslas join Australian roads each year, whilst infrastructure to support it, stops growing. Sure...

    Superchargers in Australia

The problem isn't production. The problem is the sales and support team. But anyway. It's speculation. We'll see if Australian deployments are impacted.

    Superchargers in Australia

Problem is. What happens when they stop making the sausages, but people are still buying the buns to put the sausage in. There is going to be a sausage shortage. 🤣 Nothing will be impacted today. But as people continue buying Tesla's. Unless the charging network keeps growing, we are not going...

    Superchargers in Australia

Not really. Most companies redirect the emails to the persons manager. My company does that. You just can't cease all communication with your customer.

    Superchargers in Australia

It's a bit hard to continue existing rollouts, when there no one left to even reply to emails from Supply Authorities about Tesla Supercharger installs. Kyle reads a message from a Supply Authority employee at 9:40 mark. All emails to Tesla Charging are bouncing. Supply Authorities have no...

    Superchargers in Australia

With the China meeting last week. What's the bet all supercharging manufacturing is moved from NY to China ? I don't see it impacting Australia.

    Supercharger - Exeter, NSW

Without getting too far off topic. The batteries have been tested by others, and it was about 50kW at 80%, and 38kW at 90%. Test done about a year ago on a Shanghai Model Y RWD in Thailand by Tesla Bjorn. I was getting these same sort of speeds 6 months ago. But experiencing much faster now at...

    Supercharger - Exeter, NSW

Yes. I plan my stops around where I want to stop. I add the chargers as additional stops, to ensure the pre-heat. Because Exerter is 250kW and I only have the RWD, it matters little if I'm sharing chargers. That's another reason I use Exerter.

    Supercharger - Exeter, NSW

Headed to Thredbo last Friday. Pulled in for 10mins to get a pie and coffee. My RWD Y charged at 66kW from 80% right up to 90%. Is this normal ? I didn't think it used to charge that fast in this part of the charge curve. Anyway I stopped at 90% and made it to Cooma with 15%. Then got 137kW at...

Great Aussie EV Road trips - Live to drive - Drive to Live

This is my Model Y SR. It can comfortably do it in 2 stops. But it's not the fastest way. 3 stops is faster, as you are charging more in the faster part of the charge curve. Stopping at Exeter doesn't add to the travel time. But it does mean 4 stops. Though if Exeter has vacant chargers...

    Supercharger - Exeter, NSW

Since getting the Sexy Buttons commander, it reports 2.6kWh of Buffer over the OBD reader. So that's only about 17km. Be keen to go below 0% SOC and see if that 2.6kWh number starts to drop. Regarding Exerter. I have seen that reporting offlne when I was driving 3 weeks ago. But 10km out, it...

Model Y Tow Package available soon from Tesla Australia

EV Stealth towbar comes with magnetic cover and nice Tesla symbolled handle. Only thing is. The magnet is so strong, it's hard to fit the cover sometimes. But I'm used to it now.
