    Sound Deadening Model 3

kilomat would be my choice followed by noico red 150 mil sound insulation over it to block out noise.

    Sound Deadening Model 3

Gotcha. As quiet as I can make the car with minimal work without going overboard with sound proofing, the better. I would like to get the floors done too at least. So to be on the safe side, Power down the car, disconnect the 12V disconnect under the seats, then safely remove the amp and sub. No...

MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

Had my car get detailed inside. Steam cleaning is my best recommendation for stains. The guy was able to get some off but the trick is to use a steam cleaner and a micro fiber attached to it to take off the blue stains. Guy managed to get off some and showed me.

So in hindsight Power Off the car, follow this video here to remove the 12V battery properly, and THEN remove amp and sub? Ohmmu energy:

    Sound Deadening Model 3

What is the update of this setup as far as rough roads and freeways at high speeds? Has sound truly been nullified to be considered "normal"? I am looking to have this done to my car as well sometime. Also, was it difficult to disconnect the 12V battery or just the same as ICE cars before...

I learned the answers to my questions. Before these forums close for good but thanks for everyone the inputs of sound proofing. Learned a lot because of these forums.

Thx to your posting I am encouraged to sound proof my trunk again based on your layout. I have some questions: >How many sheets of Luxury Liner Pro did you use? Each sheet is 9 sqft. I would like to do exactly ur setup. >I was looking into kilmat instead of noico for less weight or is it better...

    Solved: wind noise

Ah. I placed some closed cell foam. Can't the difference to me for wind noise. Need more time to test.

So cover the hole? I have to try this again.

    Solved: wind noise

Black polyethylene foam is what is used for most if not all closed cell sound dampening brands on the net. I bought this, measured the spaces, and cut them down to size. Extras in case I wanted to cut it down more and use it elsewhere or anything in the house: 2 pack 1" x 18" x 18" Black...

    Solved: wind noise

Yeah it really helps, huh? It isn't perfect but it does reduce wind noise by a lot at high speeds. I used closed cell foam because it can't absorb water to try to prevent possible future rust and to help reduce any noise wind trying to pass through.

    Solved: wind noise

I may just get these. Sounds like a great idea to have. Placebo or actual results? I am curious in your experience. I've installed Noico all over my wheel wells and some what on my wheel arch liners along with neoprene foam at my mechanics shop (was rushed a bit to finish) to help control...

Not sure what shops will do to an extent for sound proofing but it worth a shot to look around and call places. Best results is DIY if you can. Here is the first spot that comes to mind that I checked out while in the showroom to see the Model Y. I have yet to try Thinsulate to control road...

these tires are 235/45R 18 just like the MXM4. I still expect to take a hit on range but idk how much. Sounds about right. I usually get 210-260Wh/Mi on most road conditions on all my drives. Not a fan driving uphill at times. From what Ive gathered on my TeslaFi, If I'm below 248Wh/Mi for 30...
