    @ Thanks for your reply, and I appreciate all your points. Here in the UK, I wouldn't say it is particularly cold, I mean 7-10 degrees Celsius (45-50 F), and I never precondition the car plugged in or not, so don't see how the battery could drain here. I suspect its purely the short...
