Breaking fixed Octopus plan to move to Go?

I think it's just a case of trying to work out how much of your usage you can condense into 4 hours (Go) or 5 Hours (Go Faster). I'm on Go Faster and get 5 hours between 01:30am and 06:30am. (you can choose any 5 hours in a row between 8:30pm and 06:30am I have a Heat Pump and schedule...

Another n00b question - idle fees

What a lovely problem to have, 'Idle fees'. As a large battery, early S owner, I don't have to worry about my car carging too fast, I go looking for bears to buy me some more time, hehe

Gov consultation on petrol/diesel new car sales ban - details of response

Other than my Model S, I have a 70 plate Toyota Corolla Sportback HEV. The 'Self charging kind' according to Toyota can barely do 1 miles electric only. I am a careful driver able to usually get above average MPG in the cars i've owned. I'm struggling to get 60 MPG and barely 300 miles to a tank...

Have your say: The consumer experience at public chargepoints

Agreed, I'd talked my Aunty into an electric car since i've had the Tesla. She chose the Skoda CitiGo which Skoda has now stopped selling already. Her experience from charging out and about couldn't be more different from that of mine using the Supercharger network. Lot's of failed charging...

Have your say: The consumer experience at public chargepoints

Link worked for me this morning. Surely every charger should have contactless payment available as a minimum. For mass adoption it should be as easy as possible to charge. I also think that fast charging should cost more than below 50kwh, however all pricing should be within a set percentage of...

    Is Tesla losing its USP?

I went went for 2nd hand MS85 over my M3 reservation in the end, mostly due to boot/frunk space/access. The Supercharger network is important for anyone who will ever need to charge mid-journey. Most of the old school Auto makers haven't put any effort into thinking about how their customers...

    I just ordered an ID4

I've been a Volkswagen, Audi group fan all my driving life. I have owned in excess of 35 cars most of which have been VW's, with some Audi's. I owned a Dieselgate Bluemotion and was shocked at all carmakers but especially VW as it affected me and their attempts to trick us into harming the...

Range with Bike / Cycle rack fitted on tow bar / hitch

I have recently driven down from Northampton to Dorset circa 150 miles averaging 304wh/Mi with a fully loaded car with 3 bikes on a towbar bike rack. I think that journey would normally be around 270-280 so don't think that's bad at all.

    Test drive completed...not sure...

Like others have said, might be worth looking at a Model S or X, there is a difference in the build quality and Elon/Tesla have never hidden the fact the the 3 was built to a price to be affordable. I think comparing the 3 to your previous car history is unfair, comparing to an S or an X would...

I struggle to understand cars like this in 2020

Imagine how stupid you'd have to be to buy this car. The depreciation will be horrific, let alone the running cost. It wouldn't matter how rich you were, you'd be very dim to consider this purchase, and throw money down the drain along with the planet. Makes me sick to think of the effort that...
