Tesla Navigation and its love of canine grooming and walking businesses!

I've noticed that the mapping software highlights a few select businesses as I drive around the country, around 80% of them are dog walking, dog kennels, dog grooming or doggy day spas!! Is this just me noticing them (in the way that you always notice the model of the car you are driving more if...

    [uk specific] Software 2023.32

I've had the opposite on 32.7. I don't know if I've been unlucky whilst driving up and down the M5 recently but I've had numerous incidences of the car braking hard when it thought that a car or lorry in the adjacent left lane was straying too close to the lane I was in. Whilst I appreciate the...

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

Cool, I wonder what the 130 pages of questions, comments and complaints are about if that’s all you’ve got to do!

Thanks, I had seen discussions about the merits of setting up with the Tesla not the charger, hence the question.

Thank you. That’s what I wanted to know.

It kind of is, yes. I guess I didn’t need to be explained about what the tariff is but help on the best way to set it up as a beginner. Maybe that could be added?

Also, I have just had a heatpump installed so would it be a good idea to get the car to start a charge, then stop it so that I can power the heatpump for the house on the cheap rate overnight? or does this not matter and I get cheap rate every night even if I don't charge the car....?

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

Okay, 130 pages of posts is a lot. Could we sticky a beginner guide to IO at the beginning? I have M3RWD and just changed to Octopus. I have an Ohme Pro wall charger and I don't know if its best to set up IO with the wall charger or just the Tesla. I wont need to charge every night as I can...

    Alarm going off every night

My 2022 RWD did the same for a couple of days, I reset the car and it hasn’t done it since (so far, it’s been a month).

    Paint Chips

I searched for a thread like this. I have a 22 M3 in black and have done 14000 miles, and I reckon I've got about 20 stone chips on the bonnet and bumper and a few down the rear doors. I've got some chipex paint, and whilst it covers the chips up, it's still visible that there is a chip there if...

    Stone chips, maybe I'm unlucky?

I have a black 2022 M3 RWD and have covered just over 10K miles since I got it in December 22. Now I mostly commute to work in the car, and the commute is 50 miles each way, with a large chunk of that on the motorway and the rest on A roads. I've noticed that my car has a ton of stone chips...

Model 3 RWD real world range test

I received the car in early December 22 and despite the minus 10 degree weather was averaging around 4 miles per kWh in those winter months. So around 220ish miles of range.

Model 3 RWD real world range test

Just a quick one for those concerned about the range on the base model. I have a late 22 RWD model 3 and had a full day out right on the limit of its range. I set off from home at 100% and returned with 5%, covering mainly motorway miles at the speed limit (the M50, M5, M42 and M1) with a little...

This might have been shared already but it is pretty damning!

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

One of the issues with it is that it is inaccurate. Therefore you can't trust it or rely on it. Therefore it might just be worse than not having it at all. I have a 2018 Seat Ateca with parking sensors that have worked flawlessly for the four years and 80000 miles I've owned it. It has even...
