That’s wayyyy too deep for me. For me, it’s what I’m willing to pay for within EAP ($20/month) that makes it more enjoyable….auto lane change. Period. Summon will add another $5 when it works…same for banish eventually. I’d pay $30/month. Repeat, I LIKE to drive my car.

First of all, I’m a Tesla lover (not a hater). It’s an absolute joy to drive my car…and that’s my point…I enjoy driving it! EAP…worth 20/month IMO. FSD…not worth it…period. It’s a fun trick to show friends, especially on roundabouts with no traffic (“hey guys, look, my car can drive itself”)...

Makes sense. Hey, if it works for you and you are comfy with….use it! For me, when I have a car behind me…left turns are just no good (impatient drivers). Here in Indy we have lots of “circles” or “roundabouts” and the tech just isn’t there yet. And the random jerks and twists here and there...

Fair points. As an infrequent renter, I find… 1. it’s not bad on the highway, even with traffic. Has its quirks for sure. 2. it’s halfway decent on empty city streets or when there is no traffic. 3. it’s basically useless (to my palette) with city traffic or anything non-standard. So, Sunday...

Take it from somebody that rents it every few months just for fun and see how close…or far away it is. I just rented a few days ago…first time in five months. I mean, it’s fun, it’s impressive, but we remain YEARS and 1-2 hardware upgrades before it’s hands free.

After sitting and then disappearing for me earlier tonight, it magically reappeared and was ready for install (download completed). I’m certain it disappeared (on both the app and car screen too) for a bit but just leaving it alone somehow restored it. It is what it is.

Yep. Tesla just called me (I requested a call) and confirmed no EAP freebie (even a day before quarter end) and that they wouldn’t even xfer my acc boost. I get it. I knew it going in 18 months ago. Agree that the 3P is a great deal. I think I’ll wait 3-6 months and get me a sure thing model...
