That may be part of it, but it's certainly not all of it. Most of the noise I'm referring to was wind noise coming from the windshield. I also had two different pairs of tires on my LR (stock and Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus), and while the Pilot Sports were slightly quieter and definitely handled...
Road noise is less, but I think that's just because of the better build quality on the new car. I don't really watch efficiency, but I imagine it's worse on the P3 because I mash the pedal more. :D
I'll keep the stock 20s (love them now that they're powdercoated). Not sure yet if I'll get a...
Sounds like they still match non-Tesla trade-ins.
Some more differences:
New car doesn't have the rainbow effect on the glass roof panels when they get wet.
New car didn't come with cables for phone charging. They let me take the ones out of my old car though.
Initial post was after only driving it home from the dealership (about 30 miles). Got a little more time in today, do here's a couple more things I've noticed
1. Screen has a greyish tint. I initially thought it was a problem with the screen, but when I open the web browser, whites are...
They stopped matching CarMax a few weeks ago, so you're either going to take what they give you, or sell on your own. Since taxes are so high here, it made more sense for me to sell to Tesla (since I only pay the difference between trade-in and the new one's cost).
Just picked up my P3D last night, and have noticed some pretty significant differences (not just acceleration) between the two cars, and wanted to share my thoughts for anyone else considering it.
First, the cars:
My "old" car was a Pearl White Dual Motor Long-Range. 18" Aeros. Delivery was...
Going from white to MSM. My lucky number is 13, so I'm trying to incorporate it into some names. Considering these:
Luc13 (lucy or lucky)
beast13
bansh13
steel13
boog13
stiff13 (haha)
yipp13
Also considering blitz, deviant, and plutonium
To quote myself: Always ask about treadlife warranty. My stock tires are at 3/32 after 13k miles. Discount Tire (well... Michelin) is crediting $200 toward the purchase of new Michelin tires. I ordered a set of Pilot Sport A/S 3s.
It's worth asking. I just had to replace tires on my wife's Audi, and got about $400 towards the new tires (any brand) because the OEMs didn't last anywhere near their warranty before wearing out. I'll be asking about these too since the Primacy are supposed to last 60k miles and I'm at 13k...
