Inspired by this post, I wanted to give an update on Virginia apartments near DC that have EV charging available, as uncovered by my own apartment searching. They don't all advertise it. Some of these we had to call and ask.
ALEXANDRIA
1111 Belle Pre
The Asher
Post Carlyle Square
The Thornton...
Any super charger
I knew I forgot something.
Driving will be southeast US, specifically Washington DC - Atlanta route. Mostly I-85 I imagine.
Likely stops may be one or two of:
South Hill, VA (maybe)
Henderson, NC
Charlotte, NC
Greenville, SC
New M3 owner here. Holidays are coming up and I plan to do some driving to visit family. How busy do the superchargers get? Will it be long waits at every super charger on key travel dates ,or longer?
Do I need to worry at all?
Thanks!
You caught me. Trying to make myself feel better...
I got it by reading the forums. The drive train is the same. I guess wheels, springs, brakes are different, but same engine and major components. Not going to argue that in this thread, though.
I got the impression that it was total time...not time "from this point forward," (i.e. 6-10 week delivery time = another 3-7 weeks for me) though I didn't specifically ask so I'm not 100% sure.
I just called for update on my 9/28 order. Despite the “within 2 weeks” on my account, they’re saying it’s 6-10 weeks now, as others above have stated.
Ordered mine (red) on 9/28. Also got the “within 2 weeks” spiel. Still no VIN.
I called at the 13-day mark and the rep said they were “still looking for a match” (whatever that means) and that once they find it shipping will take 1-3 weeks depending on whether it’s by road or rail.
