Long trip scenario. Which is better charge situation?

In addition to the points made above. Would you rather have a delay such as a flat tire or detour on the road with 6% or 15% battery left? I think it is far better to start at 100% and have extra left over, than start at 90% and have to make an extra stop.

If you don't mind me asking, Who did you get your Powerwalls through? I was quoted $18,000 for the first and $15,000 for the second to add them to my existing Solar installation.

Tesla Model Y Recent CARB Cerifitation Suggests Range & Delivery

Which is too bad, Living in the cold white north and i was hoping for something better. Maybe i will get lucky and they will offer a higher density 100kw battery pack at some point. (fingers crossed) The Model 3's Mileage isn't good when it gets below 0. it's a balmy -11 today, and has been...

Tesla Model Y Recent CARB Cerifitation Suggests Range & Delivery

+1 SageBrush, Especially when you consider the larger Model Y will suffer more at highway speeds than the Model 3 does.

    Western Canada Superchargers

I would be happy if they just put another v2 charger in along Gasoline Alley. 4 or 8 stall doesn't really matter.

Anyone in the greater Edmonton area gone ahead with a Model 3 purchase and willing to show it off?

True, but i was asking if someone is willing, not if they had one. If the 4-8 weeks is accurate on the website then someone should receive their vehicle before AWD becomes available.

I got the invite but holding off for now because no AWD and no Standard battery. Willing to buy lunch as an incentive. :)

    Solar panels

Same basic problems as putting solar on a car though... - Cost of the panels vs amount of energy generated makes it a lousy trade off. - You might be talking a lot more square feet of power generation, but the truck also requires a lot more energy to run. if you put solar on the trailer and...

$82 is a good price. I just guessed at $75 a day given that you wouldn't know what vehicles are available and including stuff like insurance, bring back empty, tends to drive the price up fast.

if you only need a car for the occasional trip to Edmonton you might want to consider just renting one. it would not be as cheap as a bus ticket but it would still allow you to keep most of your savings in the bank till a Model 3 is available. A $50 - $75 per day rental is a drop in the bucket...

    Aero or Sport wheels

I will probably buy the aero wheels, not because i like them more but because they are the cheaper option. I wonder what they would look like if they color matched the car? Any photoshoppers want to give it a go?

So the Model 3 is real, and in prod: what will the naysayers shift to now?

Here you go: Tesla’s new Supercharger strategy is a major shift that will enable urban EV ownership
