    Hummer EV

The thing about the HUMMER EV is that is so BIG and so HEAVY. 9,000 pounds and a 210kWh battery (usable). That’s A LOT of charging! Edmunds Specs on Hummer EV: https://www.edmunds.com/car-news/2022-gmc-hummer-ev-range-battery-pack-and-weight-revealed.html

    Hummer EV

I sat in the Hummer EV on display at the Amelia Concours d'Elegance, at Amelia Island, GA last weekend. The Hummer EV felt much bigger than my previous H3s which fit into a one car garage. Size wise, the EV felt somewhere between the H3 and the H2. Fit and finish were excellent. I loved the...

Car stopped in middle of street

Yes. Tesla had to replace components. Could also be a cooling issue. In my case, I believe they had to purge the coolant system after installing a new battery heater. Model 3 SR+, one year old, 7,400 miles. I had no problems at all for one year prior.

What If I Don't Appear At Delivery?

Yep. Similar experience. I did an electronic transfer from my bank on the Tesla site for the down payment, a few hours before delivery. It look Tesla several days to take the money. Funds were not even on hold! This really surprised me. Most car dealers are absolutely fastidious about making...

    Over Temperature Battery Concerns

My car was recently serviced by Tesla. They replaced the Power Conversion Unit and a Heater. After that, my car displayed “Power Reduced” and refused AC charging “Vehicle Systems Over Temperature Limit”. Tesla appears to have not a prepped the cooling system properly upon re-installing (Bleeding...

VCFRONT_a192: Car will not drive (also with UMC_a012 and CP_a057)

It sees like the coolant system was not properly setup after replacing parts. My primary concern (besides fixing the car) is being sure that the battery was not over temperature reducing useful life. Does anyone know if the “reduced power warning“ and not accepting AC charge due to “vehicle...

VCFRONT_a192: Car will not drive (also with UMC_a012 and CP_a057)

UPDATE: Upon driving on the highway, just minutes after picking the car up from Tesla, I got DIR_a126 “Power Reduced” Returned to Tesla: They said it was the coolant that needed to be purged after installing the new battery heater equipment, and sevived. Took the Car Home: It refused AC...

VCFRONT_a192: Car will not drive (also with UMC_a012 and CP_a057)

Update: Car was in service 12 days including the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Free tow. Free loaner car (Model 3). The service staff kept talking about a blown fuse (a large one) that had to be ordered. Then communications with Tesla engineers as “alerts related to vehicle shutdown are still...

White interior M3 - need help with choosing tint %

I have 15% rear & rear sides, 30% front sides, over white interior. Photos attached. It’s a nice combo if you want to keep the front “safe and legal” (at least in Florida). OTOH I have driven a Model 3, which white interior, with 15% all around. Looks darker and has uniform tint. I didn’t notice...

VCFRONT_a192: Car will not drive (also with UMC_a012 and CP_a057)

Update: Service says it was a blown fuse. Not a common failure. They had to order the part and check the system. Warranty repair. Car should be returned today. (One week in service with free Tesla loaner over a holiday weekend.)
