Like this Hickory SuC, on November 21, 2022, Statesville, NC was also shown as "Coming Soon" on Tesla's website map. Anyone know more about this potential site? As far as I can determine, Statesville may be the only remaining one in central NC yet to be built from all those "Coming Soon" ones...

I am thinking this SuC location is a good strategy for the shopping center's Sycamore Commons management. The construction is at a remote corner of the shopping center where a restaurant (Shane's Real-Pit Barbeque) vacated a year or two ago. Perhaps this would encourage another business to occupy.

Today, I talked to the foreman at the ongoing Matthews, NC construction site. He also did this Providence Road site. When I asked him about the 11 verses 12 pedestal mystery, he answered, "The property owner just didn't want to give up another parking space." Ouch. Adding just more one charger...

Foreman said the construction time for this non-prefab type is 60-65 days . He just finished McLeansville, NC and is heading to Cary, NC next.
