Front suspension, sway bar links possible rattling.

You didn't need to put a hex key in the center of the stud to keep the ball from spinning? I'm not too worried about getting the old ones out but I don't want to damage the new ones putting them in.

If you can take pictures, notes, video, whatever when you're doing the job that would be great. I looked at doing it back when I was getting the clunking noise and it looked like to get them off you'd need to remove the brake rotors. One of the sway bar link nuts is buried inside the knuckle...

HV Battery to subframe bolts hanging loose

It varied, but mostly only one. I just posted that video because there were 2 so it was easier to hear. It was as if something was shifting into one position, then when I turned the opposite way it would do it again to another position. 2 months later and still no pops anymore.

Youtube video of the noise for posterity:

Available on Rockauto now too for slightly cheaper. I also checked with the SC and they're ~50 each from Tesla. Personally I'd get the amazon ones as returns tend to be easiest but good to have options. Up until a few months ago all I could find other than the official parts were for RWD cars.

    Model S Trailer Hitch Installation

That's roughly what I've seen with my utility trailer (~800lb) at highway speeds. I suspect it's more about the wind resistance than weight.

Supercharger - Madison, WI - Whitney Way

The Hy-Vee has a restaurant inside, decent food but nothing special. I get the sushi from the grocery portion often and it's good. Otherwise there are a few places across the street. They are.

Supercharger - Madison, WI - Whitney Way

And now reported unavailable again on the tesla app... Anyone have a feel for if it's normal for a new station to go up and down a lot at the beginning?

    Turning clunk from left front

For those following this thread and not the one I linked, tightening these 2 bolts completely eliminated the clunk/rattle I had, as well as made the car feel much tighter driving. Add it to the list of loose bolts leading to noises...

HV Battery to subframe bolts hanging loose

After driving around yesterday trying to reproduce the clunk that led to all this, it's completely gone. Apparently a pair of M14 bolts make a difference when properly torqued.

Scrolling wheel on steering wheel easily breaks. Is the part available separately?

@David.85D that seems reasonable, once you have the broken one should be easy enough to model a replacement with a few design iterations. The other thought I had was designing and 3d printing a fixture to allow you to both drill out the old hex accurately and position the new one while the epoxy...

Scrolling wheel on steering wheel easily breaks. Is the part available separately?

Sheesh, $45 for a cut down hex key? In case the seller is watching I also needed a T15 or T20 bit to remove the button assembly, I forget which though. And it's not necessary to disconnect the airbag connector, I did the whole thing without disconnecting anything other than the connectors for...

HV Battery to subframe bolts hanging loose

Probably a good idea, I have to pick up a set of sway bar links from the SC anyway, I'll add those to my list. Pretty cheap peace of mind. At least I feel a bit better about driving it now until I can do that, we'll see if this takes care of some of the clunking. For reference, bolt is part...
