Afaik, Recell would swap the battery to a 75kwh battery. It wouldn't be a p100d anymore and will likely lose performance. I remember hearing from somewhere they're only doing 75kwh battery swaps for model s. That's why the price is so affordable
I had this issue and just needed to replace the sensor harness, years of being exposed to the elements made the cable brittle and caused loose connections. I did try soldering the parts I thought were the issue, but I ended up having to take it in and get that harness swapped. Was around $250...
Mine has similar degradation, but i have significantly more miles, so your battery capacity is strange to me.... 2016 S 75 (not D) 180,000 mi 216 mi at 100%
Mine also got misaligned a few months after. Perhaps you have the same issue I did. While the service center was recalibrating the radar the second time, they noticed the radar was making contact with the bumper, and so they filed down some of the bumper, and the problem has not reoccurred. This...
Yeah, ended up being exactly what was mentioned here. After charging for a bit then reaching my destination with 41% , I came back to the car an hour later and it indicated 47%. So exactly the opposite of before. I reached out to Tesla and they got back to me saying this is normal when there are...
I had a lot of driving to do before work this morning, so ended up reaching work with an indicated 9% on the dash. No big deal I'll just charge at work. When I got there the chargers were full so figured I'd come back in an hour and check again. When I got back to my car, it was indicating 1%...
I had this happen to me twice, once when power washing my car, the other time going through a big puddle. Only fix was to realign radar. On the second go of it, they realized the radar was touching the bumper when the bumper was installed, so they shimmed a bit of the bumper off and it hasn't...
Tricky but definitely possible. I've been doing it for about a year, first with a chevy bolt, and now my '16.5 S with free supercharging. I charge everyday at work. Over the weekends if im running low or if i'm not able to get a charger at work for a few days, I'll supercharge. The main reason...
For as long as I've had my 2016 Model S (6 months), the key fob's buttons have never worked. When I have it in my pocket and approach the car, the car opens fine. Because of this, it really hasn't been too big of an issue. I did take apart the key to see if there was some corrosion, but it...
I did something similar (2016.5 AP1 75 w/ 146k miles). I’ve had a bit of work that needed to be done:
Sway bay links (~275$)
Radar alignment(200$)
Parking sensor harness(350$)
1 door handle (fixed myself for around 50$)
Not terrible by any means, but something to consider. The car now has 163k...
May as well update, After the battery had a chance to drain and recalibrate, turns out the actual range of the car mentioned above is 216 at 100%. According to Tessie, 11.5% degradation. It currently has 162,500 mi on it
Just had it fixed a couple days ago. Somehow the radar became extremely misaligned, and so with a radar alignment, everything returned to normal. Thanks for chiming in Ben
