    Supercharger - Charleston, SC

I stopped by this location and was able to charge (reduced power level). A Tesla person was performing service work on the system today. It looked like about 1/2 of the stations were operating. I observed 4 vehicles charging at the time.

Model S 19" factory OEM wheels

If you have not sold them, perhaps I can buy. I only need two right now, but can buy all 4. I can pick them up in Charlotte. I offer $400.

Clunk in rear during initial acceleration

Got the noise on mine. Its been there a long time, perhaps it was always there. I like the "normal" explanation.

    Open Vehicle Monitoring System

Good to know. That helps prompt me to further investigate another issue I am seeing with the car.

    Open Vehicle Monitoring System

Okay, I got the parts in and ran through the setup on the Model S. It seems operating well on wifi and celldata. I get very useful info like SOC percentage, ideal+estimated range, all 4 tires pressure and temps, current odometer and 12V battery voltage. First time I have been able to see 12V...

Thanks Mark for the info and all the work you do.

    Open Vehicle Monitoring System

I am wanting to try out OVMS on my 2012 Model S as well. It looks like I can order another full kit of parts from Fasttech with the 3G modem, add the K-line board and have a go for Model S. Adding some features like TPMS readout to my early-limited feature Model S would be neat, plus finally...

Repeated TPMS failures on a 2.0 Roadster with 44k miles

Thanks for that suggestion. I will have alook at the cable to verify, it may be out of date. My TPMS is still working today, but with this update, I hope to be ready for any future issues.

Open Vehicle Monitor System (OVMS) - Technical Discussion

It happens to me on occasion. I imagine just an update on the OVMS module or such. I enter my info in the app again and it comes right back up.

    Roadster 2.x TPMS Tool

I am interested in migrating/updating my OVMS when this is in production. It seems like most every Roadster in private hands will benefit from this long-term owner-empowering capability. TPMS has been such a challenge and frustration for many.

Head unit update with volume control buttons

Well this unit does come with an IR remote. I agree with gregd that it is not desirable use case in the Roadster. I put it in the glovebox, and may never use it, but it is there if I need it. I like my big buttons. :-)

    Roadster 12V system is down.

Thanks again for that detail. I am planning to study the OVMS manual again. In particular may later want to get an alarm or notification of the battery voltage dropping below ~12.3 or so. That would be an early warning that it is not charging as it should be. This telemetry is very useful.

    Roadster 12V system is down.

Understood Mark, However, since the (non-APS) DC-DC converter is dead on my car, the only source of continuous 12VDC now is the 12V battery circuit! I have patched the 12V battery in (fusebox tap) to take place of the failed ESS 12V DC converter. So, for my car, the 12 volt battery does...

Head unit update with volume control buttons

The buttons I programmed for vol+, vol-, mute, play/pause, ... The programming page looks like this: Easy once you get it all hooked up.
