Loose driver's seat – considering class action

Is it possible the sound is actually the leather side bolster contacting the center console as the seat rocks? That's the annoying sound my seat makes while driving. It comes out as a creaking sound. I apply Krytox grease every ~4 months to silence it.

    eMMC recall reimbursement

This smells like a valid class action lawsuit to me. Does anyone know an attorney that takes on class actions? I have no idea how to get something like this started.

    eMMC recall reimbursement

When I figured out what my problem was, it was January 2020. All the comments in the TMC thread were talking about quotes of $1200-$2500 at the time, mostly in the neighborhood of $2000. I decided that since the price was similar at The Electrified Garage in NH that I wouldn't even bother asking...

    eMMC recall reimbursement

I'm another person who got a 3rd party repair reimbursement rejected. When I got the initial reply rejecting my claim (in February) I was livid. They didn't tell my why they were rejecting it, just referred me to an FAQ page that didn't say anything about the qualifying conditions at the time. I...

Loose driver's seat – considering class action

I have a 2016 pre-facelift. The driver's seat was rocking pretty badly when I initially took delivery of the car. They replaced the chair once, it was still rocking. I took it back, they said the other SC that replaced the chair somehow cross-threaded the bolts and that they fixed it. It was...

How I fixed my air suspension leak for $1.00

My car was manufactured in February 2016 and seems to have a very different configuration inside. All my air lines are colored by their destination. The thing mounted immediately next to the air line in the original photo is almost a foot away. All the air lines have spacers on them to keep them...

    Air Spring Suspension Leak

I just noticed a new thread that might be interesting for anyone else following this one: How I fixed my air suspension leak for $1.00 The poster has images showing the hole in his air hose in the frunk and showing how it was wearing up against an adjacent wire harness. I just ordered some...

How I fixed my air suspension leak for $1.00

I've got a leak in my 2016 Model S suspension and I'm going to be checking to see if this is the problem. What sort of epoxy did you use to fix it? Do you think something like this would be strong enough? It says 3300 PSI on the package, which is easily greater than 87 PSI. Is that really all...

    Air Spring Suspension Leak

My 2016.0 Model S is starting to have a problem (or maybe I'm just starting to notice the problem?) that the rear passenger corner lowers down all the way after the car has been sitting idle for about 1.5-2 days. I've also noticed that the car is getting... angry about going over speed bumps...

    Drivers seat a tad loose

I found that if I adjust the seat to be all the way down the rocking stops. It's almost like there are two interconnected pieces that are not moving at the same rate in the electric motor mechanism, creating play as the seat travels up. I keep my chair permanently adjusted all the way down...

Slacker Radio Tip for New Owners!

I installed Focal Expert line speakers (PS 165 F3 and PS 165F) in all the standard positions, added an Expert-series sub (P25F) in the rear diver-side cubby, and added 2 4-channel class D Mosconi amps and a Mosconi 6to8 DSP. The DSP fixes up some of the horror of the low bitrate Slacker feed...
