    Idle fee scam?

Well said. I managed a healthcare procurement department for many years and have studied contract law extensively. I’m glad you took the time to explain it. I was tempted but it felt about a productive as pissing up a rope.

    Idle fee scam?

I didn’t receive a warning that the limit was reset. I checked when I got a notice when charging had finished much earlier than anticipated.

    Idle fee scam?

That doesn’t help. I was not doing a linear trip. I needed 100% for my day activities.

    Idle fee scam?

There are several things about my recent experience that don’t wash. 1. Tesla resetting my charge limit. There was no onscreen notification of this. Perhaps because of my failing MCU that they won’t schedule for replacement yet. But that’s another story. 2. Requiring my credit card number...

    Idle fee scam?

The supercharger where this happened has signs posted on each space allowing 30 minutes general parking. Does that seem like a disconnect?

    Idle fee scam?

Thanks for the info on the class action suit. Idle time fees did not exit when I bought my car. My guess is that those of you who think imposing idle fees is kosher bought your car after idle fees where put into place so I can see why you disagree. You bought into the concept. I did not.

    Idle fee scam?

I think you are missing the point. Tesla and I entered into a contract for free unlimited lifetime supercharging that was unconditional. Back in the day, us early adopters moved our cars when charged out of courtesy. We even left notes on windshields when someone forgot. Since then Tesla...

    Idle fee scam?

Isn’t that analogous to giving the police your credit card number in advance in case THEY decide you have broken the law? No details were provided by Tesla where the idle time occurred and at what time/date. At least with a traffic ticket you receive in the mail you get detail and a right to...

    Idle fee scam?

This happened to me last week. I changed my limit back to 100% after charging stopped at their imposed 80% limit. This was done in less than a minute. Next day I received an email saying the Idle Fee would be waived. At the end of the email this was attached: My car was purchased new with...

    Installing Xpel around CF spoiler

I didn't wrap the trunk lid with X-Pel but did everything else. I was mostly concerned with rocks causing paint chips on the road and parking lot damage. So the trunk lid didn't seem likely to get hit. So far that has been the case.

What if Tesla would give P85D owners free ludicrous update?

    +1. You nailed it skilly.

    Rolling backwards on an incline

Hank - for clarification, what I meant was that I get a more complete stop without creep engaged. You're right regen is the same with or without creep up until below 5 mph.

    Rolling backwards on an incline

Parking in my garage is on an incline requiring tight cornering. I have to engage creep to prevent rollback. Without it I've tried parking as if it were a manual but then I get the 2 pedal warning. If hill hold worked properly as it does in my Jeep I could leave creep off. But as it is now I...
