is Model Y body flex creak a common thing?

You may want to investigate adjusting the tailgate rubber stops (common issue here). Adjustment is handled via turning them out. If they are turned all the way in, the trunk may actually have some play in it where the latch is moving and you get metal/metal contact.

is Model Y body flex creak a common thing?

Glass roof is the culprit. Glass does not bend/flex like metal does, so this 'creaking' sound you hear when turning in to your driveway (especially if going over a hump) is expected as the vehicle's body is contorting very slowly.

22 Model Y performance making a weird sound. Dealership won't repair

Bumping this because I noticed my 23 MYP seems to have developed this SAME noise, but it is only audible at low speeds. The same exact 'brushing' noise. I visually and hand-checked each tire/wheel, and I found nothing. It does sound like something is stuck to one of the tires that is causing...

    DRLs flickering below 40% SoC

It's not consistent yet, so I'm going to wait. Also, I noticed that it seemed to start with the last update 2023.26.7. I'm going to wait n see if the next update resolves it. Car is only 2 months old.

2023 model y performance factory ppf

That definitely looks like PPF. Surprised this isn't making headlines on some of the other Tesla-rati sites.

    DRLs flickering below 40% SoC

My right DRL appears to randomly flicker on cold start (car has been sitting for several hours of sleep at home) when my battery is below 40% I have noticed. It seems to go away whenever I press the on/go pedal. I will monitor it, but I guess if it gets worse a service request will be generated...

2023 model y performance factory ppf

I checked my 23 MYP. I have clear mold lines on my front and rear bumper edges that could look like PPF, but PPF it is NOT.

Is a Tesla Model Y right for me?

Due to overall lack of charging infrastructure (even though SuperChargers are a plenty), at this time, I think an EV only makes sense if you can charge at home. Otherwise, depending on Supercharging or 3rd party charging infrastructure won't allow you to reap the full cost benefits of owning an...

    ONR - I'm a believer now

I use one bucket wash with ONR because ONR themselves says that their product has molecules designed to trap and bring dirt to the bottom of the bucket. You'll need one of those wash bucket grit guard however. I've used this one for the past 9 years successfully in a Homer bucket. To each...

    HomeLink DIY install

This. I have 2 Chamberlain MyQ doors, and I do not intend paying a dime to use my own garage doors.

    ONR - I'm a believer now

Another shout out for Optimum No-Rinse wash. Never heard/used it before owning a Tesla, and oh boy I wish I had. This stuff is amazing. I just did a maintenance hand wash, and it only took 20 minunites. 20 minutes to get my car sparkling clean including the windows! That's nuts. The key, of...

    HomeLink DIY install

You should not have to remove it for any service as it is an official OEM part.

    HomeLink DIY install

The software part is easier than the install part as you don't actually have to 'install' anything. Just unlock it with your foot and turn signal, reboot, open/close the door. Voila! Homelink.

2022 Model Y One Year Review

Love my MYP as well. Zero delivery issues so far, and no issues to date. I agree that charging at home is a game-changer. That being said, it's really only a privilege that homeowners can experience unfortunately. Now, I've only had mine for 1 month and only logged 800 miles. For comparison, my...

    Spoiler delaminating

That's strange because the spoiler on my MYP is matte NOT glossy at all.
