The process was the same for me - I created the ticket and got the email with the link to the ticket, but there was no response from 057 Companies staff to either the initial request or the follow-up "it's been more than 30 days" message.

A specific grievance I could make is that 057 Companies (the invoicing company for the HV Battery Service Plan) did not provide a pro-rated refund within the 30 day window noted in the cancellation terms after I provided written notice (as I had sold the vehicle the Service Plan was attached to).

Potential errors in the above timeline with post as reference: a) Jason/057Tech linkage. The employment agreement snippet provided shows he was an employee of 057 Companies. b) The status of 057Tech. The wording "057 Technology is long gone" was used.

The email links for my support ticket where I requested a pro-rated cancellation refund after selling my Model S no longer work. I presume the ticket server went offline the same time 057tech.com went offline (since the sender of those email links was contact @ 057tech.com).

Since my last update, I received the postal mail "here's the info to verify your identity" notice and went through those steps. I'm now hopefully in the "2-9 weeks to process your return" window, and still waiting to see if the tax credit is applied on the first try or held back as others have seen.

When I got home and was able to look at my saved copy of the invoice PDF, I confirmed the invoicing title and logo on the QuickBooks-generated invoice from an ESP purchased on 23Jun2023 were also using the new company name.

I wonder what would be the response to purchasers of the HV Service Plan after 057 Companies LLC acquired the assets from 057 Technologies LLC? I believe I fall in this camp, as my credit card statement clearly shows "057 Companies LLC". I'm guessing a different-but-the-same answer of "you did...

For me, after 21 days of sitting at "received but not yet approved", the Where's My Refund tool updated it's answer to "we will need to verify your identity; look for a letter from the IRS in your postal mail." Still waiting on that letter to arrive after 10+ days. Based on other's experiences...

Instead of estimated KBB values, get an actual sale valuation from CarMax/Carvana/Vroom/etc. to understand the pricing floor you may be facing to help the decision process. EDIT: Just learned Vroom went out of business yesterday.
