Tire efficiency vs Navigation charging estimates

I realize it's only been 2 weeks since your posting but have you had a chance to test your theory? Is adding 5% working for you?

Tire efficiency vs Navigation charging estimates

I'm looking at buying a new set of tires that is known to be 10-15% less efficient than the OEMs. Does anyone know if the Tesla navigation system eventually considers the decrease in efficiency when scheduling charging stops? Does the car uses my own historical consumption when performing the...

I had to ask the sc to re-center the steering wheel 3 times before it was done right.

Model Y Thermal Image - Ultrasonic Sensors

You're right. But even my 2012 Genesis will disable cruise control when there's too much snow on the bumper. I don't know why it has to be this way but it seems to be imposed by the radar technology the system is based on.

Once the radar detects an obstruction due to ice and snow, it's already too late. At that point Autopilot becomes unusable and we can't even turn on the simple cruise control. Getting the radar area on the bumper warm enough to melt ice and snow could take a while going at 65 mph.

    Model Y Model heating

Now that winter has arrived I find the "auto" setting to be pushing an insufficient amount of warm air around the legs. I have to manually select both the upper and lower vents to be comfortable. This should be fixed with software.

Model Y Thermal Image - Ultrasonic Sensors

So are we saying that the radar behind the front bumper on the MY isn't heated? Darn, I really was hoping it was. I've had several instances with my 2018 M3 when the car refused to turn on cruise control because of wet snow sticking to the bumper.

    Model Y Service Bulletins

I opened a service ticket regarding this issue not knowing if my car was one of them. After messaging with a tech I was told it applies to all model Ys. Either the tech doesn't know or the scope has been expanded.

    Model Y Service Bulletins

SB-20-31-012 The best way is to open a service ticket using the app. How long have you had the car? When I picked my car in Ohio, I was told I had around 40 days to put through a Due Bill to have all my issues corrected.

There's a possible conflict of interest betweenTesla writing the SB and doing the work. We have to trust Tesla to do the right thing because there's no incentive to do the work when there's no revenue. A dealer gets paid by the manufacturer when it performs a SB. Obviously my comment does not...

Cost to run dedicated 240v 60amp line to garage

Don't need to be a smartass. You know what I meant. The guy is basically quoted between $1500 and $2000 just in labor which seems high for that kind of a job. I recently got three quotes for a new gas furnace that ran from $3500 to $6500 so you have to shop around. Three quotes minimum.

Have phone on me, asks for key card

Try rebooting your phone. Then touch the Bluetooth icon on the car's screen top right corner and make sure your phone is connected. This has happened to me and it could be a bug with 40.8
