    Door release breaking

Maybe simply the 12V Battery starts to fail. If this is the case, press door button, wait 20 seconds until roadster gets power from the main battery, try again.

    PEM No data fault ID:56

I don't know if it helps. But there is a company called GS Technology here in Switzerland that can repair your PEM. Maybe it's easier to send car or PEM to Switzerland than US.

Adding Next Gen seats to an older S

A bit offtopic, but I want to do repair my ventilated seats (leather has many wrinkles) at the leather shop. Is there anything to be aware off when removing the seat? Or is it simply power down vehicle (via the menu), remove seat, install, power up? I want just to be sure that there is no airbar...

Next Roadster Battery - "due by end-of-year 2019"

For how long is your car bricked? if it's happened not too long ago, maybe it's possible to recover. You should contact GS technology in Berg TG as soon as possible. They are anyway the best address for roadster problems in switzerland (also PEM repairs).

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

No. You still mix up capacity and SOC. 100% SOC is always 4.2V. New, after 50'000 miles, after 500'000 miles. Always. Capacity goes down over time. You have a usable capacity between about 4.2V and 3.5V. When a cell is new you can use f.e. 3000 mAh. Now your cell gets older and degrades to...

    Yellow Border

*lol*. They could say that for almost every part in the car. Battery dies? "We got the cells from panasonic, so it's not covered".

"Reset SOC Params" in Diagnostic Menu

Hi, What is the option "Reset SOC Params" under "Control" in the diagnostic menu for? I had in the past some strange SOC readings (7% difference, while voltage was perfectly balanced). It fixed itself after some driving and charging. But would pressing this button help when it happens again...

Yes. And rattle noise of suspension will be fixed with a permanent background sound from the audio system. Great :-)

There are phone displays with similar issues. And some reports in forums that 10 minutes under UV light in the nail salon can fix that (really, google it). Maybe tesla does something similar. A big screen size UV light.

    Somewhat odd battery behavior

I noticed similar on my roadster. If the battery goes slightly out of balance (0.04 or 0.05 V) then SOC shows a difference between 5% and 7% between MIN and MAX. So it stops on MAX 89% and MIN 82%. After some balancing, voltage difference goes down to normal 0.02 or 0.03V, but SOC still shows...

Today both GPS, the internal one and the alpine unit are still working normally. :)

    Strange volate and SOC readings

Hi, My roadster is sitting in the garage for about 6 weeks. I regularly check SOC, just to be sure everything is ok. Yesterday I had this readings: V&T: Vmin: 3.79, Vmax:3.81 SOC: MIN/LIM: 47%, MAX: 55% That seems odd. While voltage show a perfectly balanced battery, SOC shows the opposite...
