Model s 90D vs. 911 carrera s, tried by myself

Yeah, there should be no doubt. Really want to see a curve created by others, to see if my test had used full power of the 90d.

Oh, didn’t know that. Thank you for your advice. I’ll try next time.

Model s 90D vs. 911 carrera s, tried by myself

Wow ! I did not drive a p90d, that’s pity. Guess the curve of P90d could be 10% higher than 911, am I right? I’d like to quantify the feeling in a car :) You could shoot a short video like this. Which makes easy to see the g data vs. speed : That will be cool!

Model s 90D vs. 911 carrera s, tried by myself

"Because of the bad GPS signal inside, the speed data in the video from my iPhone is not correct. I use the g data from GSpot and speed from performance box to draw the curves.” Don’t know if you have noticed I put a p-box outside. For the windshield of tesla jamed the GPS signal. The video...

Model s 90D vs. 911 carrera s, tried by myself

I recorded the video last week. The voice of “ohoo” is mine :) 90D is impressive, smooth, the torque was going down slowly, but not aggressive as 911. Because of the bad GPS signal inside, the speed data in the video from my iPhone is not correct. I use the g data from GSpot and speed from...

This guy thinks 1.09g for Model S is suspicious because, um, physics

Actually a car could get more than 1.1g when breaking, so the limit of the same tyre and road could be 2.5sec from 0-100km/h.

This guy thinks 1.09g for Model S is suspicious because, um, physics

That’s true. There is another reason why the g of drag racing car is higher, see the pic: Slow motion from The surface between the tyre and road is quite large. And actually the road is rubber surface, not asphalt anymore. The friction of rubber to rubber, any one know how much it is?

:D I think so. Any one tested the G force of model s?

Any one tested the G force of model s?

Any one be insterested about this? 85d, 90d, 100d... In order to get less than 3 sec of 0-60mph time, the avg. g should be more than 0.9. That’s not too much acctually. A porsche carrera s could get 0.8g at the 1st gear, and 1.1g when breaking. If they use the same tyres, then the avg. g...
