I ended up buying a demo Model 3 LR today rather than waiting on my SR+. I did want the LR rather than SR+ and it being available with a radar unit was even better.

I just canceled my order for the SR+ in Cincinnati, I bought one of the demo LR models they released today. If anyone was waiting on one in Cincinnati maybe you'll get "my old one"?

There are plenty of reports from owners of cars now without radar having significant issues with the vision only system. So it doesn't seem to be "panic over limited knowledge". I wouldn't consider it to be "panic" considering Tesla's history of changes that are major regressions.

What makes people concerned about missing safety features snowflakes? Or do you enjoy paying more for insurance, more for a car that now provides less? Gee, what a shock that people don’t want to get less and pay more. Sometimes it amazes me how people that support a product act more like cult...

Really concerned about this now due to the impact it’s going to have on insurance rates. I was really excited for the model 3 but I’m much less at this point.

Mine did the same. I am calling my SA today to see if they have a better idea .. I have a short trip planned at the very start of that date range and I reallllllyyyy don't want to postpone this.

I likely will be switching my order to the LR, just been having a lot of second thoughts about SR+. Anyone have an idea of time frame for delivery if I switched the order tomorrow? Q3 I’m guessing?

Looks like I might be bailing out of the SR+ model and switching to the LR. I know that will put me possibly much further out. Hope you all get your cars soon!

My order date is 5/4 and I have had June 14-30 as the estimated date for a few days now.

Yeah there is no way possible on current mobile networks that this kind of realtime computation would work, it has to be done locally for now.
