I was told by Tesla sales person back in December 2019 that I could put any compatible tires on that I wanted (didn't ask about wheels ...but I can't see how that could possibly make any difference as long as they are compatible).

Well... I got my car on the 26th and it broke down on the 30th. The dashboard and the display panel both went crazy while i was driving on the freeway. Couldn't turn on the headlights (there was fog), or any of the other accessories, dashboards started displaying error lights, the wrong speed...

Ordered November 5th. VIN number showed up Monday and I got the email today asking which days I would NOT be available to pick up between December 22 and December 31. I should have put that I am not available EXCEPT for Dec 22 so I could get my LR Model S earlier! :) ...but I didn't think of it...

They made it clear in an email to me that the intent was to provide a grace period and honor the rebate for cars ordered/purchased prior to December 2nd.
