Do Not Understand Tesla Rationale for Why There is No Sirius/XM in Model 3 or Y

I don’t understand all of the comments regarding losing cell service and having your music cut out.. Does anyone else download their playlist to their phone? I could be without cell service for hours, and still have music.

    Tesla Y 7 seater delays

You still haven’t got yours?? WTF!

. . . but what do you miss from your old car?

Yes! I’ve experienced this exact thing also.

. . . but what do you miss from your old car?

I’ll try to remember to take a video next time I use Autopilot. I can be driving down the freeway with minimal traffic, and no vehicle in front of me, and it will suddenly slam on the brakes. I used to think it was from different colored asphalt or shadows, but there is a section of newly paved...

. . . but what do you miss from your old car?

Perhaps! I get frequent/aggressive phantom braking when I use Autopilot, and my auto high beams are embarrassing. They wait far too long to dim on flat/straight roads, and they flash oncoming drivers (especially if there is a slight dip in the road).

. . . but what do you miss from your old car?

I miss having 800 miles of range, adaptive cruise that works well, and auto high-beams that functioned correctly.

First 2022 VINs (and changes) discussion / Thread

Gotcha. I’m curious if we’ll see our range updated to reflect these options in a future software update.

First 2022 VINs (and changes) discussion / Thread

Has anyone else noticed that the Tesla site now changes the range estimate when the induction wheels are selected? For the MYLR, it used to be the same for Gemini/Induction, it now shows 318 for the Induction, and 330 for the Gemini.. And it decreases another 4 miles for each when the 7-seater...

Help! Car got whacked by a rug on freeway and paint scuff marks

If it were me, I would just wait and see what the detailer can do before I got insurance involved.

Help! Car got whacked by a rug on freeway and paint scuff marks

It’s really hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like most of that should buff out. Like gaswalla suggested, get yourself a random orbital polisher and some buffing compound and see what you can do. I have had really good luck with Chemical Guys’ VSS compound. You can find a decent polisher...

Do you have any pics of the damage?

Front end damage examples without PPF

I didn’t take any pics of the damage before I installed PPF, but the reason I did the front bumper was due to a couple small paint chips/damage that I started noticing.. These cars are much more prone to paint damage, especially on the front bumper, just due to the fact that it is such a large...

    Should I install NEMA 14-30 or 14-50?

I also went with the 14-30. It works out great for me. Charges at 22 mi/hr. My reasoning was due to the fact that I literally used maybe 3’ of wire from my panel to the inside wall of my garage, would not be a big deal to upgrade if I ever wanted to. I also found a good deal on a Hubbell outlet...

    R.I.P. Tesla Referral Program

Here in CA, a modern natural gas fired generator charges ~$0.03/kWh for electricity to the grid, while the CPUC allows the solar farms to charge $.24-.30/kWh.

    R.I.P. Tesla Referral Program

Doesn’t work that way unfortunately. They (renewable energy producers) are allowed to charge 8x the rate for the electricity they sell to the grid. At least here in CA..
