CCS Adapter is Now Available in the US Tesla Store

Strange, I took delivery of my Y in Sep 2021, and it's compatible.

How I upgraded from NEMA 5-15 to NEMA 6-20 for $66

I think I see OCD here, or is it just coincidence that both outlet plate screw slots are perfectly vertical! Simple and elegant solution to triple charging speed.

Help with setting up at home charging

If you go with the option of installing a circuit when the house is built, make sure that it is where you want it to be. I installed mine in the front of the garage between two garage doors. That way I can charge vehicles in the garage on either side if pulled straight in, or charge vehicles...

    Home circuit breaker 208 volts?

Maybe some areas differ, but it would be somewhat unusual for a multi-family dwelling (other than perhaps a duplex house) to not have 3-phase power.

    Really good info, thanks!

    6-50 Extension Cords Travel Charging

My setup is basically what you are proposing. The 3-conductor 6-50 extension cord is cheaper, lighter, and smaller than the 4-conductor cord for 14-50. You can even get or make adapters for the male end for 120V receptacles.

Not exactly true. If you stay below 50mph you won't get dinged for close following.

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

100 out of 100 is the way I would read it.

    Wall Connector

There are some aftermarket Tesla to J1772 adapters to do this. Or you could install a J1772 EVSE and use the J1772 adapter (that comes with the Tesla) to charge the Tesla.

40amp 14-50 outlet vs Wall Connector Gen 3

208v service, maybe a condo? The bottom line is that at 32A a 20%-80% charge will take you about 10 hours, at 48A (max possible) it would be 6-7 hours. Unless that difference is important to you I would just keep your existing 40A receptacle and charge with the included mobile connector...

2021 Refresh: Model S (and X?) Changes to 12v System

3 diodes in series will drop about 2 volts. Something like 1N5402. Probably get 3 for $1. This would be fine for small electronics but not for inverters due to high current requirement.

Why is the charge port in the back?

The electronics that controls charging is under the back seat (M3 and MY at least) so having the charge port where it is results in the shortest wire run. I mounted my wall connector inside the front wall of my garage between the 2 bays. That way it's accessible to a vehicle pulled forward...
