Electrical upgrades to home. How much did it cost?

An interesting idea that I hadn't thought of. Last time I lived in the condo, I took transit to work. Would have to see if my new assignment there has parking and charging at work.

Electrical upgrades to home. How much did it cost?

I presented options to my board and asked them to consider. I don't live at the building right now. And I'll be away for 2 years. So no biggie. They'll get time to consider. If I can't get their approval, I'll have to put off the purchase till I buy a home. Or consider if outside charging...

Electrical upgrades to home. How much did it cost?

Have contacted my building manager already. Sent her spec sheets for the Tesla HPWC. Hoping to work this out in the coming years. Or i'll have to cancel the preorder.....that would be sad.

Canada: World-class dunce in electrification of transportation

They are more social justice warrior than truly centre-left. Only $12 billion of the recently announced $113 billion in deficits over 5 years is on infrastructure for example. Despite the fact that they had campaigned on running small deficits to build infrastructure as stimulus. The CBC...

Electrical upgrades to home. How much did it cost?

Any of you done this in a condo yet? Would love to know about that experience? Add of now, I'll probably in a condo when my 3 comes. Talking to the building manager now. But I might also be in a house. So who knows.

Ontario EV incentives upped to $14K... and decreased to $3k for Tesla

Do you believe that's how the public will see it? Given Ontario's fiscal state, government spending will be an issue in the next election. You can talk all you want about ICE OEM lobbying. But you'll have to convince the general public of your case. How sympathetic do you think the general...

Ontario EV incentives upped to $14K... and decreased to $3k for Tesla

I, too, an really worried about this. If we assume 5% of Tesla's orders are from Canada, an 80% conversion rate, and one half of Canadian deliveries in Ontario, Queen's Park is looking at paying $84 million in subsidies in 2018/2019 alone. And my estimate is conservative. And assumes 300 000...

Ontario EV incentives upped to $14K... and decreased to $3k for Tesla

I think a lot of you are mistaking public policy for a Tesla subsidy program. That mentality is actually dangerous.....for Tesla. If the program comes to be seen as a Tesla subsidy program, with rebates mostly for cars costing over $100k or more, we risk the entire program being scrapped with...

Ontario EV incentives upped to $14K... and decreased to $3k for Tesla

It's not like EV owners or more specifically Tesla owners constitute any serious constituency in any single riding, let alone province wide. And the large numbers who do matter (Model 3) buyers will get the rebate.

Electrical upgrades to home. How much did it cost?

Hi all, Just trying to determine how much the wiring upgrade costs for the average home owner. Please post if you can, the costs and details of the work done.

Tesla Model 3 anticipated driving range (non-upgraded, base level battery)

The only way he can "accelerate the advent of sustainable transport" is by making sure Tesla survives and is profitable. This also sets an example for other automakers that EVs are a profitable sector. Making no (or very little) money on the $35k Model 3 doesn't help Tesla or its goal. Elon's...

Tesla Model 3 anticipated driving range (non-upgraded, base level battery)

You guys are optimistic! Musk seems to have a way of delivering bare minimum and getting away with it. If he can deliver 200 miles for $35k and get away with it, that's exactly what he will do. This encourages more profitable upgrades. And that's exactly what he/Tesla wants. The only way...

Ontario EV incentives upped to $14K... and decreased to $3k for Tesla

Don't get this viewpoint that Tesla is being "punished". Tesla will be the largest beneficiary of this program when the Model 3 rolls out.

Ontario EV incentives upped to $14K... and decreased to $3k for Tesla

It's going to get really interesting for the Model 3 with our dollar this low. Base will be $50k. Toss in all-wheel drive and maybe one size battery up and you'll be at $65k at least. It's entirely possible some P390D model wouldn't qualify for the full rebate. That said, I fully agree...

    Have you been ICEd?

I feel like a lot of this is caused by Tesla's decision to place the chargers near hotels/motels and shopping centres. They would have been better off putting it off at highway service centres. The traffic at these centres is transient. And more likely to understand that these are fuelling...
