It was about 4 months in total, from when I took photos and they designed the system to when I could turn it on. After install, it was 2 weeks or so for final inspection, then another 2 weeks for PGE to let me turn it on

I too had a great install experience, it was the lack of communication leading up to the install that was bad. The install team was fantastic, very pleasant and did high quality work

You should be able to find a non-smoker car in CA no problem. If you can't then Ozium on a hot day will do wonders, spray it in the car (hold your breath) and leave it in the sun to "cook"
