I think that you're drunk on the Tesla cool aid, MP3Mike. I mean, the software was good enough for the car to drive 143K miles and it identified a lot of batteries that needed to be replaced (not mine, luckily, but lots of others), and then Tesla conveniently tweeks it to identify more batteries...

So I've consulted with several third party Tesla repair shops and think I'll abandon Tesla Service Centers. The general opinion is that my drive motor probably isn't faulty and that the neutral problem is caused by a bad ground somewhere. The amazing thing is that several of the 3rd party guys...

So I've been disowned by the Service Center! They don't return calls or answer Emails. Neutral problem still exists and now the car will only charge to 90 miles. I finally understand why that guy blew up his Tesla!

OK, my saga continues. So the car was fine for a month or so after they cleaned the Connector, but then started jumping into neutral by itself again. It always went back into drive this time, so not a huge inconvenience. I took it back to the Service Center--they had it for over two weeks and...

Oh. and it cost way less to repair than the 2400 the Service Center wanted to charge the first time!

Thank you--I'll clean all of the connectors in the braking system. EV_Builder--which module and where is the "stalk." Should I try cleaning/reseating the connectors there as well?

No--I decided to bring the car home and take a look at all of the brakes myself. I haven't gotten around to it yet and the car hasn't misbehaved again (yet). I did order a used Parking Brake Control module and installed it (very easy, by the way), but the car didn't like the used module at all...
