The inverter now has one solid green light. This morning it had a solid blue light. Later in the morning it had a blinking green light. It never has the solid blue and green lights at the same time as the tech on the phone said it should have. yYesterday I did all the steps on the...

Solar panels are not producing power

My mother, 96, is in hospice care. Fear of losing power. Batteries show empty. Will try to charge them but app doesn’t seem to be working properly. It is the latest version July 2022. Perhaps the change to update the app caused the app issue. As of early am on July 8 the solar power report on...

How come power changeover was not seamless during power outage blip?

I just checked the backup history in the app. “No events” is the message since my instalation on September 18, 2020. I guess our area on the other side of the bay has not had any grid maintenance. I had wondered if that section on the app reports such events. Thanks.

How come power changeover was not seamless during power outage blip?

Along this line, if you don’t have sensitive equipment or the transition is seamless, how do you know you are having a power outage at your home or in the neighborhood. I have often wondered if I might be operating during a PGE outage and don’t even know it! ;)

Soft start for my new replacement HVAC Carrier system

Thanks for the verification of my SEER rating. I am in Marin and I don’t need air conditioning everyday in the summer, but it does reach high 90s in late summer. It will be interesting to see how the new system compares to the old one. Also if I can be totally self powered with Tesla solar and...

Soft start for my new replacement HVAC Carrier system

@holeydonut The replacement unit just arrived. The tech gave me the new booklet that comes with the unit. It is the same booklet they gave me yesterday. In other words they gave me the booklet for model 24ACB7 for a two stage compressor yesterday but they were installing a single stage unit...

Soft start for my new replacement HVAC Carrier system

@holeydonut You helped so much by alerting me to the single stage versus two stage condenser issues. Would you believe I went outside to talk to the tech about the two stage and the Y1 and Y2 wires and he told me the unit was a single stage! I said I purchased a two stage and he must be wrong...

Soft start for my new replacement HVAC Carrier system

Re Load. I talked to Tesla tech, powerwalls. The soft start model I have, link above, is Compressor Rated Load amps (RLA) 32 amps max and Voltage ratings (ac)220-240 volts. The Carrier AC 5 ton is RLA up to 23 amps. The voltage is 208 to 230. So the tech said it is compatible. Thank you @Vines

Soft start for my new replacement HVAC Carrier system

@holeydonut How did you discover that your Lennox was installed incorrectly? It was my understanding that the compressor runs at 60% most of the time versus 100%. How can you verify this?
