    Happy Winter Solstice

0.9 kWh yesterday, thanks to mostly snow and ice covered panels. It was a reasonably sunny day but also very cold so it couldn’t melt the panels clear. My low sun angle at this time of year (Seattle area) doesn’t help matters.

Roof box: Thule Motion XT vs Yakima GrandTour?

I've got a Thule Motion XT XL, and I've been very happy with it. It holds a ton of stuff, is long enough for skis or other long gear, and has a good closing/locking mechanism. The mounting system is very easy; just turn some dials. I only put the box on when I intend to use it, and have a...

February 2022 Ordered and Estimated Delivery Dates

I got my promo code email 3 hours after the email asking me to schedule delivery. So I would imagine you should have a VIN soon, if it isn't already assigned.

    January 2022 Order Delivery Dates

I texted them at the 510-399-2764 number I get notices from asking to change to loan, and they were able to do that. Gave them my RN and credit union I was using. Took them 15 minutes or so once I asked.

February 2022 Ordered and Estimated Delivery Dates

I’d be shocked if anyone with a February MYLR order got theirs delivered. Seems like anyone with a LR got their EDD pushed back by months, and now with both a ton of people switching to MYP and the slow ramp of Giga Texas I don’t think there’s any chance a MYLR order placed in 2022 has gotten...

Is there list somewhere of the historical prices and price changes of the Y in the USA?

Someone on the forums, I forget who, has this tracking spreadsheet: Tesla Car Price History

February 2022 Ordered and Estimated Delivery Dates

Profile complete 2/14, no trade-in and selected cash. I'll end up financing but with a delivery date 6 months out no need to screw around with that right now.

    Happy Winter Solstice

Yep, zero kWh today, panels are covered by snow. Altho way up here at 47.5 north latitude I’ve been generating under 10 kWh a day from an 11.9 kW system even in good conditions…

New Edmunds' Article. Mach-E GT vs MYP.

Newer Volvos, generally those built after 2017 or 2018, have autosteer ("Pilot Assist"). For the most part it is not as good as Autopilot's autosteer because it doesn't lane-center as well and sometimes doesn't track sharper curves, but it is pretty good on most freeways and divided highways...

Pacific Northwest Owners (Seattle, Portland, or towns/cities in the region)

Yeah I'm quite surprised by that too, the incomes limits seem to be at least double what you would expect. I was wondering if my wife and I would qualify as well, but as currently proposed we'd have no problem.

Pacific Northwest Owners (Seattle, Portland, or towns/cities in the region)

The version I've seen (https://docs.house.gov/meetings/RU/RU00/20211028/114202/BILLS-117117-17ih.pdf) shows a base $4,000 credit, with an additional $3,500 for cars with at least a 40 kwh battery and no more than 2.5 gallon gas tank, another $4,500 for "domestic assembly" using union labor, and...

    Powerwall Backorders

I'm not seeing any improvement in supply from my installer; I asked today when they were at my house for a pre-construction walkthrough, but I already switched to Enphase so it is kind of academic for me now. Regardless, I'm glad some supply seems to be shaking loose.
