Finally put ceramic on the car. Some lessons learned.

Thanks for the input! I was using the orange pad. I quite like Griot's system, so I probably will start using their creams. However, I don't have a BOSS buffer... that probably doesn't matter for matching up pads and polishes though, right?

Finally put ceramic on the car. Some lessons learned.

Hey, man! Nice job on the car. It looks beautiful. I've had a hell of a time polishing my blue Model 3. There are some swirl marks in the hood, and I've been trying to get them out, but every time I attempt it, it looks no different afterwards. My buffer (Griot's Garage 6" Random Orbital...

Does anyone have a reliable right camera recording in Sentry mode?

Are you using any kind of USB splitter? What storage method are you using?

Garage is ready for new Model 3

Wow, that's a beautiful garage! I'm actually currently renovating my own, and I'm doing an identical color scheme... is your wall/ceiling color pure white or does it have any undertones?

Air conditioning unit stays on after exiting vehicle

If it's the battery cooling, me turning the HVAC off shouldn't have had an effect. But it did.

Air conditioning unit stays on after exiting vehicle

I definitely experienced this last night. Here's the thing - the A/C didn't stay on. It turned on all by itself! I got home and exited that car. I wasn't using the A/C. After twenty minutes, I went back into the garage, and I could hear the compressor running! I opened the door and manually...

Does your car fully charge to 310+ miles of range?

THANK YOU!! I've been looking for this kind of official information for months! It's a big relief knowing Tesla recognizes the issue and is working on a fix. How did you get a response from corporate? Did it originate with a service visit?

Ideal amps for charging long range model 3 at home

I think your instincts are right. $500 plus install costs (or your time, if you're very handy) is a lot. Yup! 80% seems to be the sweet spot between battery health and convenience for most people. As you get more used to the car, you'll develop a better idea of what's necessary. I hear it's...

Ideal amps for charging long range model 3 at home

Hey bud, The power supply that came with your car is the Gen 2 Mobile Connector: Gen 2 Mobile Connector Bundle This has a max output of 32A, even when using a NEMA 14-50 plug. If you want to draw more power from your wall (sounds like your place is capable of giving 40A continuous), you would...

    Charge leakage

Losing 1 mile a day is awesome! I average 3-4 miles lost per day in the best of conditions (temperate weather, in a garage). The manual says 1% a day is typical. And if the temperature drops, this amount increases by a lot.

310 miles of range on October 2018 AWD with nearly 17,000 miles?

Yeah, I'm not worried about my charging habits with respect to battery health... it's purely about the battery calibration for me. I also think that "a happy Tesla is a plugged in Tesla" line is 100% about making it simple for those users who know nothing so they don't deplete the battery.

310 miles of range on October 2018 AWD with nearly 17,000 miles?

I have free workplace charging, so I generally have incentive to stay unplugged at home and plug in at work... although I don't want to take up the workplace spots everyday, so I end up not plugging in for days at a time... I don't know. Don't judge. I'm changing my ways.

310 miles of range on October 2018 AWD with nearly 17,000 miles?

My battery calibration has been a constant struggle. Most recently, when I charged to 100%, I got 299 miles on my AWD. I'm starting to think my main problem is that my car spends lots of time unplugged. I typically charge it to 80%, let it drain to about 50%, then plug in again. My commute is...

Is it ok to charge Tesla Model 3 only once or twice a week?

That's a really cool product, Troy. Now I'm trying to justify spending $1200, haha. However, I wish that second chart were more descriptive. I think a 10% Depth of Discharge implies starting at 100% and discharging to 90%... but they don't specify the actual beginning percentage and ending...
