Not true. :-) Most big cities (at least ~100k inhabitants) have acceptable public transport. Lots of small towns don't. Inter-city public transport is okay. Now, compare Germany to Switzerland... Railway dreams come true!

There is no mess. Germany is still great. We have 1 million + new great people in the country, and of course some new bad people. Maybe a few dozen REALLY bad people. So what. US gun laws, as an example, are much more dangerous.

The problem with that kind of reasoning is that there are more than 2 sides in this equation. It might be a win for Elon and Trump, but what about that 88 year old grandma from Iran and the hundreds, thousands, or millions of other innocent people in Iran, Iraq etc. who are more or less affected...
