RTX OE Spider 18” on 2023 MYP

Thanks for the info, including lug nuts. Got a set of the wheels off ebay for $850 and discount tire had a $80 discount on the Michelin Pilot 4 A/S tires. Got a set of TPMS modules off ebay for $95( new pulls ) and should have everything on the car next weekend. Current tires Kumho 255/40R20...

Getting "Front passenger safety restraint system fault" error right after updating software

Thankfully my problem turned out to be a loose RCM connector due to the locking arm being loose(not latched). Pulling off the center console wasn't that difficult after the car was de-powered and it felt like I knew what the problem was when I went to remove and reseat the connectors and the...

service required on 3701 miles on Model Y for front right safety restraint fault

@DrDiesel1 it was indeed a look RCM connector! The left side connector locking lever was NOT locked in place and so it took no effort to move the lever and dislodge the connector. So it was all due to a loose connector because a factory worker didn't fully lock the latching arm. Ugh but the good...

service required on 3701 miles on Model Y for front right safety restraint fault

Thanks @DrDiesel1 , I picked up 2 SRS airbag Emulators( probably just a resistor in a box ) which measure 2.2 ohms, pulled the knee airbag and installed the 'emulator', repowered the system and still get the High Resistance sensed error so it looks like it's either what you're saying, connector...

2022 MYLR: What does "RCM2_a124_kneeABPassOpen_s" mean

I was getting RCM_a003 and RCM2_a124 messages about passenger knee airbag after the car interior would get hot( >100F ) and now it's on/off if I get it in the morning or not. To troubleshoot it I removed the front passenger knee airbag and installed an SRS simulator(resistor) and see in the...

service required on 3701 miles on Model Y for front right safety restraint fault

Been getting the same error message since March which is our 2 year anniversary( 3/2022 Fremont MYLR ). Error went from an RCM_a058 and weeks later it's now an RCM2_a124 passenger knee airbag resistance is too high. On Model S these were from loose ground straps but I can't find any but the...

Getting "Front passenger safety restraint system fault" error right after updating software

There are a few errors which will through this message on the screen and you have to go into the Service screen to see the actual error code and descriptive message. Weeks ago I first got this message on the screen after I'd put a Pelican Case of electronics tools/parts on the front passenger...

Front Safety Restraint System Fault Refresh S

Never mind. I pulled both driver and passenger A Pillar lower covers and saw no ground bolt nor strap. Then I came back and saw this was a "Refresh S" thread and not a Model Y thread. ugh. Same issue RCM2-a124 passenger knee airbag high resistance detected. Used to be an RCM a058 but that's not...

Front Safety Restraint System Fault Refresh S

@Nintendo80 where did you end up on this? I'm going to pull those 2 left A Pillar panel covers in the morning and see what happens.

    Safety restraint fault solved

Update on my travels, the error has come back and it's no longer the a058 message I originally saw in the service screen. That problem is a known issue with electrical noise under the passenger seat. What I'm seeing now on the service screen is the a124 error code and it's saying the knee...

    Safety restraint fault solved

Dave's not here. But I can tell you that the manual door release is the one lever you can pull up in the base of the hollow as the armrest rises up in the front of the door. You roll down the window and then operate the manual door release.

Front Safety Restraint System Fault Refresh S

Thanks for documenting this people. I had a058 code but never took a picture of the service screen and it all started when I put my laptop on the front passenger seat and since then it'd go away in cold weather and return in hot weather. Recently it's not going away and I thought it was the a058...

    Safety restraint fault solved

Crazy that it worked for me too! Had put a pelican case on the seat via passenger door in am. Grabbed it across the console and left it on location then drove to another site. No issues. 2 hours later I get in the car and see this warning about front passenger seatbelt module error. Drive home...

    Charging cable management?

I would make something like bolting a piece of rubberized chain between two of these so one hooks over the top of the charger and the other hangs just below the charger and holds the coil of excess wire. Would also easily fold up to stash with the cabling...
