Its a crying shame that the one in the console doesn't work for data.

I actually replaced the glove box linkage a couple times but after just one or two openings it falls apart again. I think it must be missing a fastener but can't be sure. The lower bolt on the seat belt is hidden by a rather large piece of plastic trim. Without knowing exactly how to remove it...

I eventually got it to work by partitioning the stick in the glove drawer to 2 different drives, placing Teslacam on one and music on the other.

The base is chrome plated metal and non-magnetic. It has a Tesla logo etched on one side of it which is why I took the picture at an angle.
