    Why?? Just Why???

Yeah I don't get it either, why anyone wants a Beetle is really beyond me.

    2024 Insurance Costs

Yeah it's about 6% lower - not huge, but appreciated instead of a 30%+ increase which seems to be usual fair :D

    2024 Insurance Costs

In a shocking turn of events my policy renewal arrived today from Admiral - and it is the first time I can remember it being LOWER than I paid the previous year with no negotiation. Considering I already have full no claims and approaching 50 this year, it's rare to see year on year reductions...

    Battery life...

I wouldn't dwell on it too much. You are afterall talking about 24 miles indicated difference, that is something that would be lost on a bit of putting your foot down or a high speed hill I would leave not charging it to 100% though on an older battery model - I think I have done that myself...

Tesla service & maintenance: the biggest difference with legacy car makers?

I would have to agree with this. The remote diagnosis, updates and parts ready for fitting is a game changer over traditional dealerships. Even from an EV perspective, the likes of VW are miles behind. As an example, when my onboard modem went faulty it was one visit to Bristol service centre...

    Model 3 Highland Performance/Ludicrous Spotted

I will see - in three years when my current PCP is up on my M3P. That's a long time away with the speed of progress at the moment.

About 7 secs, and you are talking about a car that is at least 10 years old I think at the end of it's production run...2013 probably at the newest as I don't think they have done a CDI badged car for some time now. But it is about the same as I paid extra coming from a Merc C250D to the M3...

    Tessories charge port remote

You want 3M Dual Lock for outdoors if possible - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dual-Lock-SJ3550-Tape-25-4mm - is fully plastic and has a VHB type tape on the back of it too. It sort of clicks together rather than peels like velcro does and won't hold onto any water. I used it to mount two small...

M3 Ludicrous - What do we know?

It would probably have to be closer to 650 to 700bhp to hit a sub 3 I think ? - 1900KG is a lot of weight to get moving for sure. I would be happier with some better suspension or adaptable suspension so you can actually use some more of the power effectively. But the idea of some seats that...

    2024 Insurance Costs

Looks like home insurance is now coming under the "magic maths" increases too. Had an email from LV explaining that costs of insurance are going up because house values are now 22% more than last year - then today got my renewal which apparently equates to a 62% policy increase with no change in...

    [UK] 2024.8.x

Applies to first gen Model 3? I didn't know the early ones had matrix at all on them? That's surely some mistake in the "editors notes" there?

    Service/Support provision

Wasn't my experience personally recently. 9th Feb after service messages, I only booked it for 15th as it was the next day I could take off from work due to other commitments. Also that was no messing like every other dealership I have dealt with over the years - that has always been bring it...

    2024 Insurance Costs

I don't think that is what is evidenced here so far in the thread - there's a clear indication that Admiral seem to be looking to grow their Tesla numbers - or at least based on the feedback of them showing as the most competitive price wise in a lot of cases. Admiral I would consider a big...

    2024 Insurance Costs

To me - doubling the price means we don't want your business. Insurance is a simple profit/loss really under the covers - you want people paying the most money possible but claiming the least. You attract the right drivers to build what they call "the book" by manipulation of prices while at...
