I came up with 280wh/rm with range mode off. For this trip, I had range mode on for most of the journey as you can seen in the pictures of the main display.
According to ev trip planner, done at 50MPH (assuming 15F and running the heater), it looks doable, but I would plan on have backup charging options (like rv parks) along the way if your enegry runs too low. Looks like there may also be some good charging options on plugshare along the way too...
This chart shows how I planned each checkpoint along the way to ensure I had enough energy to reach the next checkpoint and final destination.
Planning was done using EV Trip Planner and the following algorithms:

From the September 16-22 2015 edition of Boise Weekly, in the article titled "Electric Avenue", Pg. 6:
"According to Kent McCarthy, engineering project leader in Research, Development and Deployment for Idaho Power, Tesla is expected to open a station in Twin Falls in October."
Before the Twin Falls, ID supercharger comes online, I had to attempt Tremonton to Boise direct. I'll post a follow up on the return in a few days.

Oh! I want to get in on this argument. I go from SLC to BOI at least once a year, usually twice. Last time I went was in May 2015, I kept accurate numbers for everything. In an S85 this trip is pretty easy without much planning. I am very much so looking forward to (or hoping for) a Twin Falls...
If you want to know more about the motor in the model S, the guy over here is building a DIY electric car around a salvaged motor and in-turn had to reverse engineer all the control signals. Highly interesting read.
