Looked pretty busy in terms of the lot being full and them lining up cars to take for delivery. I would say they had space for 7 or so cars where they line up for delivery, but I assume more will be in line as folks pick up. Otherwise it wasn't busy person wise as only ran into like 1-2 owners...

Ordered 7/4 -> VIN on 8/13 -> scheduled pickup for 8/27 (earliest could have been 8/26)

Waited til I had VIN. It shouldn't affect delivery plus at least on Tesla's site, they said ideally they want the insurance policy with the VIN on it (unless you're in one of the few states that don't require it).

Wouldn't cancel any current insurance for your current car until you get your VIN/delivery date confirmed. EDD wildly changes and you wouldn't want to be caught without insurance. I've seen on avg 4-7 days from VIN to text delivery from what others have said and I've experienced. Assuming you're picking up at a Tesla center, might be worth calling over there if you don't get anything after a week.

That’s weird. Once I had my delivery scheduled (1.5 weeks out), could pay immediately. I did do loan thru one of Tesla’s vendors FYI so ACH payment which went through fine. I believe final agreements you can’t review til 24 hrs out of your pickup/delivery day no?

Yep same happened with me here in NJ. Geico w/ my 2015 Mazda 3 been 100/month for the 6 odd years I've owned it. Quoted me like 140/month for the M3 LR (and would be getting rid of the Mazda) while Progressive was 85/month for the same coverage. Ended up going with Progressive.

Picking up in Springfield too, will let you know how that goes next Friday. For the rebate, missed out since I didn't want to wait (rip looks like only 2 days) and 2K wasn't going to be a big deal for me
