Picture of your Model Y - Right Now!

Love the silver on black! I am waiting for another Tesla quarter-end promotion for the free FSD transfer to order me a QS!

Paint flaws on brand new March 2024 Model Y, Deep Blue Metallic color

What you are seeing is perfectly "normal" in Tesla standards. The car bodies are painted by robots that are programmed to save as much paint as possible thus saving $$$ on each unit they build. You can thank Musk for the odd reasons he'll have to cut costs that make no sense to normal people...

    Replacing China Firmware with USA

Firmware is coded to the VIN. Tesla keeps track of all info for deploying OTA updates of the vehicle software. Hence, rooting the system to hack it's geolocation would be next to impossible without some serious coding apparatus.

Is this myp rear tire still fixable

Is it just me or do some of these screws and nails magically find the perfect spot to prod? I too have been a victim of these strategically placed screws that warranted replacing the tire. I now have a habit of checking behind my tires before I pull out of parking spaces. Be safe! Watch out...

Extended Warranty - Is it violated if I added MPP suspension?

Though the burden of proof is on the dealer/Tesla, one should also take into consideration, the drive motor. Since the drive shaft angle is altered from the factory geometry, any abnormalities in the drivetrain could be blamed on the modified suspension.

    Rattles

Oh... Where to begin. I have done my time with one of the earliest Ys back in 2020. Some minor creaks and rattles you must live with. Some Tesla will simply say "it's within spec" to which you yell out BS! Some you will find creative ways to fix yourself. Just the fact of life owning a...

Who uses an alternative to Rennstand jack stands for rotating tires and other work on their Tesla?

I have the 6000ELX which will be sufficient for all you mentioned except the X which I believe is over 6000 lbs.

Who uses an alternative to Rennstand jack stands for rotating tires and other work on their Tesla?

Invest in a QuickJack system. I purchased my setup 3 years ago at HomeDepot with their 18 month 0% financing. I've used it on both of my cars a dozen times each for various fluid maintenance, brake job and suspension work. Saved me expensive trips to the dealership. Paid for itself already...

Dent/Scratch Under Lift Point? Is this normal?

I don't think you need to be concerned. The lift points won't be under any batteries. Think of them as "ears" attached to a rectangular box solely for the purpose of providing lift/structural support. Now, if the dent/hole damage was anywhere near the red glue point, I would be slightly...

Has anyone noticed rear dual pane windows? (US)

It would be pretty easy to swap the glass in the rear if/when Tesla does make it a dual layer glass. Provided that it's the same shape and size of course. The thickness wouldn't matter as much as the weather stripping around the window frame will simply squeeze a bit tighter.

Scratch and Paint on Front Bumper

It does not include the molding. Shouldn't be too expensive. Best to check with your nearest Tesla SC parts department. FYI, though the painted bumper cover is an over-the-counter part, they have to do the remove/install at the service center.

Scratched black paint - fix it or forget it?

That seems to be well into the basecoat. That's not going to polish out. Will need to get a pro detailer to fill + blend + polish. It won't be perfect but it will be a lot better.

Scratch and Paint on Front Bumper

Seems the damage to the bumper and the molding are significant. No amount of buffing or polishing will remove those deep gouges. It would require the bumper to be refinished and the molding replaced. Tesla does sell a full painted bumper from the factory which will run ~ $1200 installed.

Comfort Suspension Not Much of an Improvement

Here's my 2 cents after having driven my new MYP for 3 months. I traded a 07/20 build MYLR with 19" Geminis with a 08/23 build MYP 21" Turbines during the whole free FSD transfer offer. I can unequivocally say that the latest iteration of the comfort suspension is WAYYYY better than the...

    Opinions on repair cost

That's kinda excessive in my opinion. I know for a fact that factory pre-painted front bumper cover costs around $1000 and the SC will install it for another $200 or so. You can only order the bumper through the SC and they have to do the work tho. You may need another bumper clip on that side...
